Vila veche cu o priveliște minunată spre Etna!

Destul de departe de plajă și de stația de autobuz!

Everything is great here! Room very spacious with a balcony with a beautiful view of Etna The host are really kind, we have to leave early the morning, they pack up the breakfast with many things !

Sono veramente entusiasta della scelta, peraltro molto strategica! Accoglienza meravigliosa, con tante premure e consigli molto utili per la vacanza! Villa di una bellezza unica (dalle foto non rende!), con un patio con vista sull’Etna: fare una colazione, così ricca, (o anche solo rimaner lì, a rilassarsi) in un ambiente simile non ha prezzo!! Un giorno ci hanno anche preparato delle ricche colazioni da asporto, perchè dovevamo partire molto presto per l’etna! anche il resto della villa è ricca di tanti pezzi d’arte che la rendono ancora più speciale! Stanza enorme, perfettamente pulita , con due bagni e un terrazzino con vista Etna. La villa è attaccata all’autostrada quindi molto comoda per Taormina, a soli 10-15 minuti di macchina, e non distante dal lungo mare di Giardini-Naxos. Infine, sembra stiano costruendo anche la piscina..

Non da tutte le stanze si sente, apparentemente, ma qualche gallo del vicinato iniziava a cantare presto. Con delle cuffiette/paraorecchi non ho avuto problemi.. quindi arrivate preparati che per tutto il resto vale decisamente la pena! Il 10/10 rimane comunque meritato, pesando con tutto il resto: Villa Chiarenza è stato ciò che ho amato di più a Naxos!

Tout ! L'accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires, le petit déjeuner pris sur la terrasse avec une vue incroyable sur l'Etna, la décoration et la beauté de la maison ... on avait envie de rester plus longtemps.

Despite everything written below, mainly because of the perfect service, I would still recommend staying here to anyone for whom the location is convenient and who is not bothered by the issues I described. Positive: Bottom line: Beautiful building, excellent service — the best I’ve experienced — and comfortable beds. Details: The hotel is located in an old house that has been partially renovated, with a huge amount of artwork everywhere, seating areas in a well-kept garden, private parking (extra charge), and a pool that is still under construction. The hotel is managed by an elderly couple who are lovely, kind, and always happy to help as much as possible. The hotel is clean and organized, with enough towels provided. Breakfast is an upgraded continental breakfast including coffee, tea, juice, tortilla with prosciutto and cheeses, croissant, boiled egg, zucchini toast, bread with jam, cut fruit, and more. Every request we had regarding breakfast was gladly fulfilled the next day, very generously. We stayed in the top-floor room, which is huge, with 2 double beds and 2 single beds, so it can accommodate up to 6 people. The beds are comfortable. The room has a large private balcony with an open view. There are 2 air conditioners, 2 toilets, a bidet, and a shower.

Negative: Bottom line: Low ceilings and noise at night. Details: The hot water for tea is only lukewarm unless you specifically ask for boiling water. Breakfast is served only from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The building is not accessible at all — anyone who struggles with stairs should avoid this place completely. Even those who are fine with stairs should be prepared for an obstacle course every time they enter or leave. To reach the top-floor room, you need to climb 2 flights of stairs, then another one, then bend down (yes, literally) under another wooden staircase, and finally climb those wooden stairs to the upper floor, where the ceiling is extremely low. Inside the room there are 2 raised passages requiring stepping up and down. The beds are placed along the outer wall, which is also very low, so you really need to be careful not to hit your head (I did several times). The shower is tiny, with a toilet that is only comfortable while sitting, because if men stand up, their heads hit the ceiling. The additional toilet, sink, and bidet area has a reasonable ceiling height. The sink has bar soap instead of liquid soap. The shower provides shampoo in tiny sachets (like ketchup packets at McDonald’s). Both toilet areas only have ceiling windows, which are hard to reach unless you are tall. The bathroom and shower doors do not fully close and cannot be locked at all. The hotel is located right next to the highway toll booth, so throughout the night there is constant noise from cars, trucks, and motorcycles slowing down and accelerating.
