Didn’t realise it was a one star hotel when I booked, but it did the job

Apollo Hotel is wonderful. The owner is fantastic, very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, but nothing fancy. Perfectly well suited for what I needed.

Central location. Owner was so lovely, would stay here again just because she was so lovely. Good value for money

This was the first leg of my trip to Italy (for geology fieldwork) and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I booked for two nights and added a third whilst I travelled around the local area/sites and Naples. The hotel is really well situated in the centre and although there is a lot of bustle in the early evenings it isn't intrusive at all - I don't think you could find a better location if you tried - and certainly not for this price! The hotel is family-run and were lovely hosts, the room was large with a private ensuite and balcony and the bed was very comfortable! I didn't use the wifi at the property, and ate out in the mornings as I had very early starts anyway. For the price you pay at the Hotel Apollo (which is a very short walk to the ruins and located in the midst of many bars and restaurants) you cannot go wrong. There's no spa or swimming pool here so if you need those things this hotel isn't for you, however, I do highly recommend staying here if you plan to spend your days sightseeing and just need somewhere comfortable to stay at night!

Central location, close to the train station and on the corner of the main square. The owners were very friendly, I felt at home! The accommodations were typical Italian, old but comfortable. The view from my window was beautiful!

Perfect location, middle of town. Exceptionally helpful staff, finding a place to store my cycle, leave bags safely on departure day.

It clearly needs modernising, especially the bathrooms and mattresses ( this is acknowledged by the staff). The shower in my room did not function, and the toilet seat was loose and a potential hazard.

This is a friendly family run hotel, and feels very much like you are guest. It was a great spot for our two night stay for the archeological site. The room has no facilities like kettle or TV etc, but has a wonderful balcony overlooking via Carlo Alberta. The bed is very comfortable, and a little creaky which adds to the charm. The owners are very friendly, and with our sparing italian and their little english, we managed to communicate wonderfully. The street was not too noisy, except for the odd race boy or loud motorbike. The street cleaner is around 5am, which is a wonderful way to wake up, and the church bells are at 6am. If you want to sleep in silence with no disturbance, I suggest you stay out of town, or sleep with ear plugs. You can't blame the owners for the town noise. It all adds to the experience. Be aware that you will need a Type L italian plug adapter,as there are no euro plugs here. You can get an adapter at the electrical shop in town for 2 euros. Wifi is OK and free. This is a wonderful safe place to stay, with bags of italian charm and a fantastic price. We will use again in the future.

The bathroom is great, but the door doesnt close due to the door being out of line.

The staff here is so friendly, I'm a huge fan of them and I want to see them succeed!

This hotel was just really not great. Uncomfortable beds, heating switched off, room smelled like stale cigarettes, shower was not good.
