Casa Rachele

Rachelle’s house has only 2 bedrooms for renting and a shared-bath. She also lives there and has her own bedroom with a bathroom. Her house is quiet and friendly!

Signora Rachele is the best host i have ever had! We’ve been in the apartment for two nights with breakfast included, she welcommed us with coffee and fresh water with lemons, and the breakfast was delicious traditional Italian. She gave us all the infos and guided us about the place and places around Piano di Sorrento. The room had the sea view and was extra clean, even the sheets are handsewed! If you are looking for romantic italian room with amazing host, Casa de Rachele is the perfect one. Id give signora Rachele 11/10 if i could!

We have excelent time in house signiora Rachele. She is so kind and hospitable! Rachele told us many information about Capri and useful tips. The room is beautiful with Antique furniture and clean.

I stayed at Rachele's for 3 nights. The first two mornings she was super nice and welcoming and I was so happy because I was not expecting it. But at the second night I stayed there I had an unexpected girly accident and the bed sheets got a little dirty. It could happen to anyone. She usually cleans the room during the day so she obviously saw it and did not replace the sheets or anything (which is no problem for me) and also didn't say anything. But the next morning at breakfast she didn't came to talk to us to ask how our day was like she usually does. I thought it was odd but it didn't bother me. When we were about to leave she called me to "see what I did" and showed me how much "work she was about to have to clean all the sheets underneath". And also saying "you need to be careful, you need to be careful, look what you did". I said "I'm so sorry" and that "it was not on purpose". I felt like she was trying to make me feel ashamed for something i couldn't control and as if I did it on purpose. The problem is that she talked about it like it was something out of the ordinary. She talked to me EXACTLY like someone would talk to a dog that pooped in the wrong place. Now I understand why she didn't talk to us in the morning, because she was resentful of "what I did". I don't understand. This ruined my whole day, my last day in Piano di Sorrento.

Rachele was a superb host! She's nice and friendly and gave us great tips. Her home is clean and comfortable and close to the train station.

We had the best stay at Casa Rachele! Rachele was brilliant; very attentive and helpful, great communication and just a lovely person. The house was very clean; bedroom, bathroom and main communal area, and there is everything you need. Piano di Sorrento is 2 stops away from Sorrento (€1.30) and trains run frequently. They also run to Pompei and Naples very frequently. The area itself is less touristy, which we loved, more of an authentic experience. There are some lovely spots to eat and Rachele suggested many things to do during our stay, plus prices and the best options. We explored Sorrento, Amalfi Coast and Pompei - all very easy day trips from this location. Thank you for your hospitality, Rachele. We hope to be back! Tara

I originally chose to stay at Casa Rachele because of the low rates vs. central Sorrento but soon discovered that there are even better reasons to stay here. Piano is authentically Italian with great restaurants, shops, and a good laundromat. Sorrento is indeed a beautiful city but is tourist-oriented and most of the people you will see there are tourists, whereas Piano gives a real Italian small town experience where almost everyone you encounter is a local. Rachele is an excellent hostess who keeps a clean and spacious B&B in a very good apartment building. She is a lifelong resident who is very helpful in advising on what to do in the area and has good tips on various tours and sites, as well as the restaurants in Piano. Breakfast is typically Italian and excellent. My room was quite comfortable and quiet and provided a wonderful view. Wifi was at least as fast and reliable as anywhere else I have stayed in Europe. The bathroom was large by European standards with a full bathtub/shower instead of the usual tiny shower most places have. The train station was less than 10 minutes walk away with trains leaving every half-hour and taking less than 5 minutes to get to Sorrento. The cost is 1.3 euros one way. You can also take a bus that travels along the main street in Piano, Corso Italia, which eventually also becomes the main street of Sorrento. Casa Rachele is very highly recommended.
