Hotel Rural La Paloma

We chose the hotel for its central location, which is perfect if you're renting a car and driving to different cities. It's within a very easy (wide-open freeways) two-hour drive of Granada, Córdoba, Málaga, and Seville. (Also don't overlook the lovely ancient city of Antiquera, which is nearby.) Yet it is out in quiet and very beautiful countryside. What we didn't expect was that the hotel itself would be one of the highlights. It's not ornate, but it's beautiful and extremely well run. The decor is simple, but very nice. The food is simple but very well made. The pool is large, clean, private, and pleasant. And the staff stay out of your way but are friendly and extremely helpful whenever you need anything. One thing needs to be changed on the website: They can't help you with tickets to the Alhambra any more. (Unfortunately, these days you need to book well in advance for the Alhambra, the Great Mosque and Alcazar of Cordoba, and the Alcazar and Cathedral of Seville, or else pay a fortune for a guided tour group.) But we can't recommend La Paloma enough!

My wife & I have just returned from a 4 day break at the hotel, If you are looking to get away for a complete chill out in Andalucia look no furthur, this place is the place to be. The management & hotel staff go the extra mile nothing is too much trouble. The swimmimg pool and area was lovely and peaceful. We had breakfast and evening meal at the hotel each day and it was suberb. Cannot fault this hotel and will be retuning very shortly and we have already recommended this to friends who want the peace and quiet that this hotel has to offer.

My stay was perfect; quiet and isolated rural tranquility. It proved to be perfect for the relaxing, reading and writing I needed to do. Breakfast was substantial and well-priced at 5 Euros. The restaurant meals were also excellent. Staff, throughout my staff, were always very pleasant and attentive. Overall, perfect for my simple needs, I wish them well

We spent a week in this hotel and it was an unbelievable week. Very nice, hotel, very nice staff, very good food, unbelievable nice situated, very quiet, unique quiet. With our rented car we were able to visit all the high lights in the Malaga region, the Alhambra, Sierra Nevada etc., and during the evenings we enjoyed our meals, our drinks and the splendid view over the hills on the terrace of the hotel. We are planning an other visit coming october or may 2018. This is a hotel which we are most certainly going to visit more often in the future.

Very friendly people, lovely setting and excellent food!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July 2017. The place is very cozy, they have done a very good job at renovating it and giving it a welcoming atmosphere. We were also given good suggestions about a restaurant nearby (on the day their restaurant was closed) and places to visit. It is a little hotel next to a local road, clean and well taken care of, with a nice breakfast and restaurant service. We thought it was going to be the perfect place to forget about the world for those 4 days. We chose it because of the swimming pool, which is a nice medium size (not small) surrounded by grass and trees. But the water was so dirty that we could not enjoy it, and the room was so small that we could not stay in it, so we had to change our plans and go sight-see the area by car. Although this was great because the towns around are interesting, our plans of getting lost and resting were ruined.

If your looking for a change of pace from the ordinary to a relaxed country charm this is your place. Grood staff. Very quiet.

Myself & my husband stayed here for eight days from 3rd August. We had a wonderful time. Andreas & Jackomo were excellent hosts. Although we didn't eat at the hotel every day the meals that we had were delicious. We spent a lot of time down at the swimming pool which is nestled away to the rear of the hotel, it was very peaceful. It is advisable to hire a car as the hotel is 50km inland from Malaga Airport. We hope to return soon.

Après l'agitation des grandes villes, Cette auberge simple mais de bon goût est l'endroit rêvé pour décompresser: l’accueil des deux patrons est plein de gentillesse, la table est accueillante et délicieuse, la région est belle et peut être parcourue en vélos. Bref un must dans des budgets tout à fait abordables
