Clean, comfortable and spacious

Very small issue but the blind in the living room was broken meaning light was let in when sleeping in the living area. However, this is an easy fix and didn't really impact on our stay.

A place with character: older building, the interior nicely renovated although not luxurious in any way. Very clean with a traditional-looking, functional bathroom. Kitchenette was very compact, microwave worked well and there was a full size oven/stovetop that was clean, one of four burners not functioning. Warming up food and cooking basics possible. The mattress was firm but comfortable.

For older or disabled clients it should be noted that access to rooms requires climbing a lot of stairs. Unlike the photos on the website, our room did not have a table where one could sit and eat. The worst problem was noise transmitted from room above us that kept us awake 2 nights running. However, finally making a call at 3 am to the number provided did result in action by the night manager which improved this markedly. Although the window was large, could be opened, and looking out on a back alley roofscape - interesting to some, but lots of cigarette butts and dead plants in pots. Was probably attractive last summer.,

Great location. Owner was very kind and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for a weekend in Montreal

The room is quaint.

The toilet was noisy all night long. We were looking out at a mess on a roof top. There was no shampoo/conditioner.
