Riad Armelle

In short, this was the best accommodation that we have ever been to. The level of service, the calm atmosphere, the cleanliness. Oh, and don’t forget the food - make sure to have one evening meal here (brilliant). Each room is different so unique is the buzzword. While I am sure many of the other Riads will be just as good, Armelle should be very proud of themselves. 😀😀

Stayed here Friday to Monday with a Jet 2 break. Staff were helpful and place was spotless. Truly authentic Moroccan riad so if you normally stay at the Hilton this may not be to your taste. Our room was on first floor and stairs are steep but there are ground floor rooms for the less able. We were given mint tea on arrival and the day manager took our bags upstairs,showed us all around the Riad and explained everything. Our room was beautiful and shore worked well, beds were firm but very comfortable. We didn’t use air con just left the shutters open during the day as I expected it would be stuffy if you didn’t. Room was cleaned every day and fresh towels if you wanted ( we didn’t as only there for weekend. Breakfast was basic but more than adequate, breads, croissants, pancakes, fruit, boiled eggs and the tea/ coffee was fine. You can have dinner but need to inform them in the morning. They do sell alcohol the only thing not cheap in Marrakesh but we weren’t bothered. The roof terrace is lovely to relax and weather was mild in December. Only a short walk from one of the main entrances where the taxis stop but doubt we would have found it without the Jet 2 transfer only thing to improve is Rooms could do with a small fridge and kettle as there’s plenty space. Great first visit to Marrakesh and highly recommend this Riad especially the staff,cleaner’s breakfast staff, Cici and everyone so helpful

Lovely authentic hotel. Traditional bedrooms and ornate furnishings. Staff were very friendly and helpful, booking a visit at a Hamman for us and giving tips on taxis. Breakfast was a little limited but enough for what we needed. I would definitely go back

We received a warm welcome to this lovely Riad, which is an unexpected oasis of beauty and calm from the dusty, bustling alleyways of the market. We had had a long journey, with flight delays, and it would have been nice to have been offered an evening meal, or a drink at least, but this was not forthcoming. We were though directed to a perfectly nice hotel just a few dozen yards away from our Riad, where we had an acceptable meal (a bit chilly on the terrace, which was the only available table). Our room was beautifully decorated, in traditional style and very clean. The terrace was a nice space to relax at the end of our sightseeing day, although workmen took up several hours on the terrace one day. Unavoidable, I suppose. Staff were friendly and helpful, though not always present. All in all, Riad Armelle is to be recommended.

We have spent an amazing 3 nights in Riad Armelle. The Riad is located in a side alley, a 3 minute walk from one of the Medina gates along a market street. Staff met us from the taxi and walked us to our accommodation (Jet2 transfer, so not sure if applies to all transfers) The Riad location is around a 15-20 minute stroll from the main Medina market square along a well lit road. During our stay we always felt safe and everyone we met were very friendly. The Riad has 15 rooms wonderfully decorated in a traditional Moroccan style. There are plenty of places to sit in the central courtyard area and also a roof terrace to relax sun bathing or in the many shaded seating areas. The Riad was spotlessly clean There were toiletries and a hair dryer supplied in the room and there was a curtain that could be drawn across the shower area for privacy . The large bed was super comfy and the room was cleaned daily. We stayed half board, good breakfast of breads, croissants, ham , cheese etc .Excellent Evening 3 course set meal ( let them know any dietary requirements in advance) , beer and wine were available (around £4.00 & £20.00 bottle respectively) All staff were excellent and very helpful especially Ziad. We would definitely recommend staying in this fabulous traditional Riad.

We stayed a week in the Riad Armelle, an authentic quaint Riad. It is well placed for exploring the old town. The decor is amazing and the room immaculately clean. It is a very calm place within the bustle of the city. One or 2 things could have been improved to make it 5* review.

Great experience in old town Marrakech.

Staff is very nice especially Ziad. If it wasn’t for him, I would have given the property one star only. I checked in, put my cloths out and left to explore the city. I came back and there was water all over my cloths and the floor that was coming from the AC unit. They changed the room for me but the toilet in the other room wasn’t working properly and water kept running all night. Ziad made sure it’s fixed the next day. Not easy to get to the hotel as cars don’t reach the area. Bottom line, the property is beautiful but needs a lot of repair. I will never go back to it. Ziad stands out as an excellent employee of the property

Far from th jamaelfna square and its a confusing maze to get to the square. Far from taxi stop if u have alot of luggage you need to walk to the riad. Place is average but we have other riad that we’ve stayed in same price but way better rooms.
