Novecento Scicli

We stayed at the Novecento for two weeks while exploring SE Sicily. Throughout our visit the Breakfast at the hotel was consistently good and the Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was good value for money and ideally located for exploring the area.

Not much to say that hasn't been said before. Lovely hotel, very well run and located a few steps from the center of the old town. I was also able to park in front of the hotel and believe me, in Scicli that's a miracle! Breakfast was superb, with a very varied choice of fruits, breads, cakes, cheeses etc etc. This hotel, on my opinion, has one of the best breakfast buffet that I have ever had and I have travelled far and wide in the last 40 years.

I had a very relaxing stay in the beautiful town of Scicli, staying at the Novecento Hotel, may room was beautiful, the staff could not have been any more helpful, I needed things printed for work and this was not problem. The buffet breakfast included all Sicilian specialities. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, thank you.

Spotless, well cared for rooms. An authentic urban villa. Quiet neighborhood. Gracious and Friendly staff. Easy stroll to main piazza. They move your car around for parking as needed. Tasty and complete breakfast buffet. Best dinner we had in SE Sicily a mere 10 yards away, over the 'Ponte'. How friendly a town? We couldn't find the hotel even though only a couple blocks away: so, Meter Maids in the main piazza had us follow their car to the hotel, a police escort no less! Bravo. Perfecto. Get precise directions.

A lovely hotel,well situated with an excellent welcoming staff. Unfortunately wifi was not good in the room and the restaurant had been closed. However the breakfasts were superb with nice touches such as the mulberries and local honey bought to the table as extras. Overall well worth a visit.

Our bedroom and the common areas of the hotel were finished to a high, modern standard but with architectural features retained to give character. Unfortunately the restauant was closed for the season during our visit but the lovely people on reception were happy to give good recommendations for places to eat. The breakfast buffet was very good, a wide selection of ceareals, fruits, breads, cheeses and hams with freshly made coffee to order.It was a little difficult to find the first time but easier once we got used to the geography of Scicli. The free parking outside the hotel was a treat after problems in previous locations. The hotel is located centrally for walking to all areas of Scicli. Staff were very pleasant and keen to help. Overall this was a lovely hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area, old and new city of Scicli on either side. Scicli itself is HIGHLY recommended. Authentic enough not to be full of drunken tourists in football shirts but still has all the facilities you'll need. Nearest beach is a few miles away (it's not busy and is a very beautiful sandy beach).    One thing to watch out for is your room. When we go away, we research incessantly because we've been caught out by a few 'creative' hotel descriptions.   Three things we insist on are Air conditioning, free in-room or (at least) public area WiFi and a Balcony.   This hotel advertised ALL rooms as having all three. Ours didn't. We had AirCon but no WiFi or Balcony. When asked, we were told our room was a 'Classic', whatever that means, and that we had a 'balcony' we could use. However, it wasn't off our room. It was off a couch-and-table area in the middle of 5 rooms and shared by them and was an upstairs patio with only 2 chairs . To us, that was the thing that took this from being rated 5 to 3-4. A bit harsh, maybe, but the balcony is important to us so we can have a smoke & a drink without leaving the room, especially in the evening. NB: on the web, they say that ALL rooms have WiFi and Balcony. If you're booking and this matters, email well in advance and tell them you insist on the WiFi / Balcony that they've advertised

This Hotel is a fantastic gem and the front desk staff are the most helpful I have experienced. It is truly a modern, clean and quirky hotel, small and intimate and decorated with fine taste. An exceptionally good buffet breakfast.
