The Red House

The setting is amazing, it is very close to the upmarket streets of Marrakech, opposite a former palace and walls and easy walking distance to main attractions. The staff are extremely nice and helpful and made our trip unforgettable. They were available for anything we needed, tips for restaurants or places of interest and also helpful to book them. The gardens were nice and the swimming pool big. Despite having other residents in the hotel, it always felt we were alone, never packed. The hotel / palace itself is pretty and many of the old features are maintained well. The breakfast was rich and full of local food. They accommodated our needs. In particular Achraf was available and helpful throughout our stay and especially at the last day after check out being able to use the facilities. Internet was great. Cleanliness was really good.

Everything was excellent. The hotel is located on a major road and if you are in the garden, though seclusive, you can here the traffic. But inside the rooms the noise is minimal, never bothered us.

This is not a hotel it is a grand villa in which someone once led a very luxe life. So it has the feel of a riad with the luxury of a hotel. The rooms are grand - our was probably 700 sq ft - pretty and confortable. Because it is more like a grand house with servants rather than a hotel it is not always completely quiet. However the people are lovely and it has an intimacy which is really rather charming. Swimming pool is very welcome at the end of the day. The gardens are lush and really well maintained. A great place for a beer or breakfast. The location is great. Not too far from souk and also not too far from the Nobu rooftop bar which is a place we rather liked.

A bottle of water for the room? Five euros on our bill! I did talk this over with them on departure but they were having none of it - that is the standard price for water for your room. Be prepared for prices more than Central London.

Too close to a noisy road

Everything was perfect. The service was fabulous! Abdel and Amin were so kind and also arranged activities for us. Many thanks!

The property is a beautifully appointed historical villa, with a stunning dining room and 8 very comfortable bedrooms, just outside the medina walls. The food was very good and the lovely staff couldn’t do enough for us. Although not a huge pool, I enjoyed a swim (in March). Walking distance to the centre of the medina was 15 minutes and we felt very safe everywhere we went. Would certainly recommend the hotel if you’re looking for a historic hotel with a pool close to the medina.

A fabulous stay in a really lovely Riad/hotel. We were welcomed as if we were honoured members of the family. Abdel was great and served us Moroccan tea, fruit and dainty pastries. Best booking in we’ve ever experienced. He was also able to advise us on trips and excursions all of which were fantastic. Breakfast was wonderful and could be taken in their beautiful dining room, by the pool or almost anywhere you wanted. Fresh juice, great coffee and wonderful eggs and breads. We ate dinner in the restaurant three nights in a row and the food was amazing. We’ve eaten in Michelin starred restaurants not as good. The service was exemplary and other restaurants should come to learn. We will definitely come back and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else

Breakfast was a lovely selection of fruit, pastries, eggs and Moroccan pancakes we looked forward to it every day. The staff were excellent and could not help enough. The dinner was again excellent you must have the lamb and date tagine. The house itself was beautiful including the gardens and pool area

Would’ve been nice to have cushions on the sun loungers they were a bit uncomfortable. Also the listing said patio in the room description which it didn’t have but was a lovely spacious room with a huge bed
