Hotel Brandenburger Hof

Schon alleine das Personal hat mehr als 10 Sterne verdient . Authentische Freundlichkeit , emphatisch und sehr hilfsbereit . Ich hatte ein kleines Einzelzimmer mit Dusche,Waschbecken und WC integriert .Niedlich , praktisch,überschaubar ,sauber und ein sehr bequemes Bett .- alles , was für eine erholsame Übernachtung wichtig ist ! Kleinigkeiten wie Tücher , Duschgel.,Bodylotion,, Hausschläppchen standen zur Verfügung .. auch eine zusätzliche Decke und ein kleines Kissen .Jetzt sitze ich hier unten im Foyer und trinke meinen kostenlos bereitgestellten Kaffee .Nebenan ist direkt eine Bäckerei .Hier kann man sich auch schnell Brötchen holen und im gemütlich eingerichteten Foyer den Morgen genießen . Denn dafür stehen auch Teller und Servietten bereit ! Der Empfang ist 24 Stunden besetzt . Rund um die Uhr freundlich,.lächelndes Personal . Herzlichen Dank dafür ! Und danke, dass es noch Menschen wie Sie gibt! Ich komme wieder ,aufjedenfall ! Die Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof ist unschlagbar .! Vom Breslauer Platz noch 5 Gehminuten !

Nothing. I returned the key to the room as soon as I saw it and the accomodations in general. I normally do not rate hotel rooms so poorly and it is true that our company only paid 75 euros, but all I was expectig was a clean bed where I would be able to relax after my work day in Cologne.

This is a very basic hotel, or I would rather classify it as a hostel. Several rooms share common bathrooms. The room I was given was on the 3 floor. It was extremeply small and had a bathroom that was about 1 x3 mt without a door to seperate it. The carpet was stained and there was a very strong stale smell of old food (confirmed by my work colleague that came to see the room before I left the hotel without using the room). Lastly, the day I had reserved the room was extremely warm in Cologne with termperatures up to 36 degrees and the room had no air conditioning with no window that could open. It was impossible to stay there the night with the temperature in the room. I requested another room but everything was booked, so I returned the key immediatly and left. Unfortunately a refund was not provided. The staff at the reception made us know that there was no possibility to have any breakfast in the hotel (a restaurant does not exist) and there was coffee machine next to the reception for all to use. Not recommended for work travel.
