Hotel Girassol - Suite Hotel

This is a smaller hotel, very boujee. No issues with sun loungers and pool areas clean and well laid out. Communal areas had an older clientele feel as was the evening entertainment. Library room is a lovely bonus. The all inclusive isn’t the best, after breakfast you cannot get a drink before 11am by the pool and inside bars don’t open until 6pm. The lunch and evening meal options were adequate but not much variety or choice across the week. I wouldn’t say the all inclusive option or the food was 4 star. Location is perfect, easy access to main Funchal area and the forum.

We have been to the girassol for many years and twice a year,staff from the bars,restaurant and reception are fantastic and we get greeted with a smile everytime,see you all again in October obrigado girassol

What can I say PERFECT, the staff are amazing so friendly and welcoming The rooms are comfortable and the shower is good , we had a suite room 508 overlooking the pool and see views there are 2 pools an adult one perfect lots of beds no getting up early to bag a bed We were bed and breakfast which you had ample choice full English , fresh fruit bowl pastries breads ham cheese salad , I can’t comment on all inclusive food but I did speak to people and they were all happy with what they had There is a lot of alcohol premium drinks larger is good And yes we will definitely go back Now a few tips for you Women don’t bother with heals all locals wear is trainers or sandals not wedges The pavement is uneven and a bit slippery The tapas restaurant next door is amazing we went there twice So out of the hotel turn left and this will take you to harbour and old town about a 25 minute walk , turn left a few bars and restaurants Excisions we went whale and dolphin watching also climbed stairway to heaven mountain superior views but a hard climb

Alcatifa bastante degradada nos pisos. Quarto a necessitar de modernização (sofá nao estava nas melhores condições, chuveiro nao estava nas melhores condiçoes)

Hotel bardzo czysty ,trochę do odświeżenia ale lokalizacja idealna .Parking w hotelu,płatny ale bardzo pomocny .Śniadania bardzo dobre ,obsługa przesympatyczna .Pokoje bardzo czyste.Widoki z 11 piętra piękne.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans l'appartement. Le rooftop est top ! L'appartement l est super bien situé pour les randonnées et la plage est à 5min en voiture. Il y a une marina avec des restaurants et un super marché. Merci à Jorge pour son accueil et sa gentillesse.

An excellent hotel in a great location. The bedrooms are nice and big with an excellent bathroom. The hotel is very clean. The self service breakfast is very good. It is situated on the main bus route into Funchal or you can walk in twenty minutes.

First class and if could give more than 5 would be many more. All staff caring and helpfuk, rooms and facilities excellent quality. Food was well presented and made, bars good and well stocked. Didnt use pool as tad cold but next time!! Good value overall and well worth standard grading - recommended for peaceful and relaxing time.
