Summery Hotel

A wonderful family run hotel which is spotlessly clean. It's a bit dated but that adds to the beauty of it. The staff cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent for greek standards and they seem to have got it just right. There is no hot food, but cereals, melon, greek yoghurt, toast, jam, honey etc, cheeses and meats, olives, madeira cake, tea, coffee, eggs, just the right things. The hotel has a large pool and then a very small pool for children to paddle in. It is right on the beach, so you can choose whether to swim in the sea or pool. Very peaceful place. Only a stones throw from all the restaurants and main square of Lixouri, perfectly placed and loads of parking for cars outside the hotel, it's never very busy. Our favourite restaurant was V+S on the corner of the main square. All the restaurants on the harbour front are also excellent and very reasonably priced. We shall definitely be returning again either this year or next.

Very clean hotel, friendly staff members and close to all the action in Lixouri, while Argostoli being a short ferry trip away. Room size towards to smaller end, yet comfortable to sleep well in. Bathroom small but it did the trick. Me and my partner stayed there for two weeks and the breakfast became a bit boring. I would of liked to have seen perhaps scrambled eggs or omelettes offered. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as good place to stay whilst visiting Kefalonia.

It was an outstanding 9 night stay in a hotel that was far in excess of its 2 star rating. The staff were fantastic, the cleanliness excellent and the location perfect. We breakfast was well presented and very enjoyable - having the opportunity to eat either the inside or outside. The peace and tranquility was amazing. The location was perfect and it was a pleasant stroll into the square where we could enjoy watching the world go by. A real pleasure to stay there and we will definitely return. Many thanks indeed.

Without a shadow of doubt this was far and away the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. The management team of Tatika, Yana and Vasilis was really caring and concerned that we should enjoy our holiday, which we did greatly. Staff reflected this caring approach and Theodora, Maria and Dinah are beautiful people with personalities to match. The hotel's setting on the sea's edge is idyllic, and even Cunard's Queen Elizabeth sailed by (unsure whether the hotel arranged this!), with our balcony giving us a grandstand view. Kefalonia is stunningly beautiful, and its people very friendly and helpful. We will go there again.

Highly recommended recently renovated small hotel situated close to the center of Lixouri. The atmosphere resembles a bed & breakfast boarding house with personal service. All small add on services like for example aircon, internet access, safe are free of charge - and everything is working well. Excellent breakfast is served in a cozy porch. In the evening, it is a perfect place for a drink or a beer before dinner. From the great location of the hotel, it is very easy to go by ferry/bus to Argostoli and further on to other places like the beautiful beaches in Lassi. The island has so much to offer in terms of beaches with various characteristics and fantastic small villages. Regardless of where you stay in Cephalonia, I recommend to rent a car for at least 3 days.Just to drive the serpentine roads is worth the effort in itself. The vacationers in Cephalonia are predominantly Greeks, which gives a feeling of actually being in Greece. I love the fact that restaurant menus are only in Greek and English, discotheques are not in every corner, and there are no barkers.
