Residencial Mares

My niece and I were delighted with everything, great location, great hospitality ( all staff were extremely friendly and helpful), amazing breakfast and free parking close by. Initially, we were disappointed that we didn't have a river facing room but in reality we would choose a town facing room again, at the rear of the property. This was because we had the late afternoon and evening soon to sit on the balcony znd enjoy a sundowner. We have stayed in other places in Tavira but, have to say, this is our favourite! Only one caveat.....not suitable for physically disabled people, sadly.

Ontzettend leuk plekje in Tavira. Tegenover het hotel vertrekt de boot naar Ilha de Tavira. Erg aardig personeel, een prima ontbijt en je kunt bij het restaurant lekker op het terras zitten. Op het gebouw is een prachtig gemeenschappelijk dakterras dat het gemis van een eigen balkon goed maakt.

De kamer was kleiner dan verwacht en niet erg gezellig. Prima als je er alleen komt om te slapen, maar niet zo gezellig als je meerdere nachten blijft. Als je een kamer wilt met balkon met uitzicht op de rivier, boek dan de superior room.

A hearty breakfast and good coffee. Ferries to the beach are right across from the hotel. Cleanliness. Rooftop terrace with a view.

Very uncomfortable bed, mattress sags. Cramped room and bathroom.

Lovely location in the heart of Tavira overlooking the river . Small hotel full of charm and character , very clean . Staff very helpful and friendly .

Quaint, traditionally Portuguese, boutique hotel. Excellent location, in centre, directly opposite ferry pier. Staff warm and friendly.
