Hotel de Vischpoorte

This is a quaint little hotel that is right on the IJssel river... in the morning, we could step outside, walk across the street and sit by the river, which was lovely. Our room had a great little coffee maker that made delicious European style coffee. Our hosts were very friendly and kind, and were so excited to have an opportunity to speak English! And I must say, their English was perfect! A delightful little hotel right on a fun, happening street, and across from the river... we couldn't have been happier!

Perfect apartment/hotel beautiful room with two separate bedrooms. So big you can live there. you need to climb three stairs but you get rewarded with a nice river view. perfect atmosphere of the interior. for us the place to stay. We as travel agents recommend it without hesitation.

Tolle ausgebaute Dachwohnung. Hier hätten 4 Leute gut schlafen können... Ein wunderschöner Ausblick auf den Fluss und man ist mitten im Centrum von Deventer... Sehr schön...

I love this hotel, have stayed several times in various apartments, they are quirky with good facilities . Overall it is always a really enjoyable experience, convenient and a great area. Peter the hotel owner and his wife are wonderful, very helpful. For me this is the best place to stay in Deventer !

Very nice ,close to the old center. In a historic building.rea

We had a lovely stay in Deventer which is a beautiful town. This building is very old so the stairs are small, steep and numerous, some of the ceilings and doorways are very low, and the floors tend to slope. This adds to the charm but is useful to know in advance if you have any mobility considerations. The host is very helpful and will carry your suitcases up to your room. If you want parking you need to book this in advance as they have less bays than rooms. From here you can walk all over Deventer to the many shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. There are also a couple of lovely parks, churches and a museum (which was closed for renovations while we were there).

Great location for old town and river trips, lovely apartment and views over the river are stunning. Peter the manager very helpful.

Our second stay, Peter the manager is extremely helpful and we love staying here. Fabulous river view from the suite, great location and the old town of Deventer is beautiful.

High quality boutique hotel in a great location for the old town. I received an upgrade to the Penthouse Suit, which was beautifully decorated and well apppointed with high quality furniture. Breakfast was very good also.
