Hotel Don Diego

This hotel was lovely. The location was quiet and peaceful, the views were outstanding. The staff were exceptional and so helpful. They assited with transportation into the town for shops and additional places to eat and port for trips. They were very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and recommended other places to visit and eat which again had superb food. The breakfast was delightful and staff very attentive lovely views to enjoy at breakfast time too. All food prepared at the hotel was delicious and again staff were lovely. I only booked the small room but I didn't visit to stay in the room this was cleaned daily and to a high standard. A wonderful stay in a traditional hotel with character in a simply beautiful location. Thank you!

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I didn't book a hire car and to explore the area better a car would benefit, but having said this the hotel were very helpful and had a very reliable shuttle service that you can book in the morning for the day which was good value for money.

A beautiful hotel with incredible panoramic views! The hotel complex was charming and all the staff were friendly and very accommodating from the lovely ladies at reception to our breakfast/ dinner waiters Carlo and Aldo. The hotel was around 30/45 minutes away from Olbia I would highly recommend hiring a car to travel around the area. What I enjoyed about the hotel was the secluded beach even though part of the beach is public it didn’t feel overcrowded with people it was so calm, serene and peaceful. Our room got upgraded so we wasn’t too far from the main reception building so everything was close by. The room was clean and comfortable with all the essentials. At breakfast you had a choice of cooked food and also choices of lovely pastries, fruit, selection of cured meats and cheese accompanied by the stunning views it was a perfect start to the day! Having dinner at the hotel I’d definitely recommend the Fregula a typical Sardinian pasta absolutely delicious! We had a fabulous stay here one we will never forget and hopefully we would love to stay again!

View from the room was amazing, could see the sun rise and set, see a small beach (not the hotels) from the balcony and hear the calming waters. Housekeeping was fantastic, very clean, everything was a short walk from the room. Beach was nice, chairs set back about 10-12 feet from water, so you have seating at the beach, it’s a public beach so lots of other people, not what I anticipated.

The doors in the room are extremely loud so no sneaking around while others slept to go to the bathroom or go and watch the sun rise. Shower lacked any pressure and shower head wasn’t a full spray. Queen bed was a bit firm and only 2 flat firm pillows. Would have been nice to have more pillows available, extra blankets were available. Breakfast was ok - no variations from day to day. dinner was overpriced, quantity was small so had to add in the salad/ desert bar. Food lacked flavor. Only dined there once because of this

This property was beautiful. The private beach was great to beat the crowds. The included breakfast and service were great. The breakfast restaurant had excellent ocean views and got each day off to a great start. We had a room with a view of the ocean and a patio. The patio was a perfect spot to have a glass of wine. Other family members had rooms without a view and seemed quite a bit away from the main building and pool - I would not recommend. If you are looking to go to a property and just relax for a few days, this is for you.

The property seems a little dated - although it appears they are building new units. The room felt a little "Dusty", but it may be due to the property's age. The room was very tight. Parking was very tight. If you didn't luck out or park in some non-traditional spots, you had quite a bit of a walk in store. I didn't realize how remote the property was, but this is my fault. You definitely need a rental car, which we had. We drove into the nearest town every night because the on-property restaurant was very limited and required reservations each night.
