Central Passage Apartments by Vagabond Downtown

Great location, aparment was clean but bit outdated in my opinion

It’s a bit confusing to find the front desk, after you book it you need to send them email to make some sort of confirmation so in my opinion it could be little bit easier.

Fantastic location near several restaurants and cafes and a good starting point for our sightseeing every day. We were granted an early check in which was a real help and much appreciated as we were very tired from our journey and just wanted to relax in our room for a few hours. Room itself was spacious and had all the basics such as; iron & board, microwave, oven, cutlery/crockery, toaster, kettle, coffee machine etc… Had a washing machine which we did use. Water pressure and temperature in shower was good.

Every surface dusty when we arrived so the pre-clean was obviously selective and just reserved for the bathroom and the cutlery/crockery. Housekeeping were useless for us in that they didn’t once visit our room to conduct a clean, or change our towels or our linens. The policy is that for longer stays which ours was, they visit after 3 days to change towels and after 6 to change bed linen. They failed to appear at any time! They also didn’t provide any replacement toilet roll (which I had asked for at reception). We ended up buying our own toilet roll locally. Air conditioning is tied into the condominium and is apparently only active during peak summer (June to September) so unfortunately we couldn’t use it for our stay in May which was very hot! The lack of air con meant we had to keep the window and balcony door open to try and stay cool. As the balcony was internal to the building structure, any noise from the other apartments echoed around and we could hear it all, especially the loud group of young lads who were shouting and messing around until the early hours on one occasion. For light sleepers, like my wife, this source of noise proved to be an ever present frustration both later at night and also early in the morning as there was always noise of one kind or another.
