Castello Di Meleto

Loved this stay. Great room, toiletries, aircon, shower, wine tour, infinity pool. Breakfast in main castle. Great view from the corridor - wake up early to enjoy.

Absolutely paradise. From the property to the rooms, I loved every part and every minute of it. I stayed in one of the apartments and it was huge and traditional, with everything you could need. There are 2 pools, both of which are gorgeous. The property itself is beyond impressive and I enjoyed just walking around and taking it in. The castle is equally impressive, with the history and art maintained impeccably. The breakfast was also amazing!! All the staff, including the tour guide, were very kind and professional. From the property itself, to the staff, to the food and wine, I was in paradise! My only regret is I didn’t stay longer. I tried, but they were fully booked for a wedding. I really appreciated how their property is organic as well, and taken care of by hand. They really take care of every detail, and I loved and appreciated every moment.

Sengen knirket ekstremt mye. Den ene eldre damen i resepsjonen var også veldig lite serviceinnstilt. Da vi skulle sjekke inn, satt hun lenge ved PC-en og så på mobilen mens vi sto ved disken. Hun spurte aldri om vi trengte hjelp. Jeg mener at det burde være naturlig å ønske gjester velkommen til Castello og ta en liten runde for å vise hvor ting er. I stedet pekte hun bare i ulike retninger. Vi fikk blant annet aldri vite hvor bassenget var. Vi ankom kl. 13.50, og det ble veldig mye styr fordi vi kom litt tidlig, selv om rommene var klare kl. 14.00. Opplevelsen var at de var lite fleksible. Jeg har reist mye i Chianti og Bolgheri, og ble derfor svært skuffet over mottakelsen og servicen på Castello di meleto. Det eneste positive jeg har å si om oppholdet, er de som jobbet i baren og Martina som holdt vinsmakingen. De var hyggelige og profesjonelle.

The castle is set within a beautiful estate in a stunning location, offering a truly memorable and relaxing experience. The surroundings are breathtaking, and the property itself is full of charm and character. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which greatly enhances the overall stay. I have visited this castle twice, and while I thoroughly enjoyed both experiences, I felt that during my previous stay there was a greater sense of generosity in the way things were handled. For example, the breakfast offering used to be much more extensive, with a wider selection of items that were consistently and promptly replenished. It felt more abundant and luxurious than it did this time. Additionally, during my earlier visit, guests staying in the villas had the option of having breakfast included in their booking, which added significant value and convenience. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. While the property remains beautiful and highly recommended, these small changes were noticeable compared to the experience I had on my first visit.
