Hotel Vilmaja

The best parts about the hotel were that it's in a quiet neighborhood, they have decent breakfast and the staff were really friendly. We had a room with a large balcony which was nice.

As there seemed to be many events going on in Riga at this particular day we stayed there, it was very expensive for what you get (we had to pay €180, as it was one of the only hotels left in the city) - under normal circumstances, the price is probably a lot less. The location is quite far from the city center and the old town, which wasn't a problem for us, as we had a car.

Hotel zwar in ruhiger Vorstadtlage. Da mehrere Kinder-/Jugendgruppen aufgenommen waren, mutierte das Hotel zur Jugendherberge mit Hotelpreisen. Nachts lautes Rufen auf den Gängen, Türenschlagen, erheblich gestörte Nachtruhe bis über Mitternacht. Rezeption abends und morgens nicht besetzt. Fahrt zur Innenstadt mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln mind. 30 Min.(rd.10 Haltestellen), Bus-/Tramhaltestelle in 7 Minuten Entfernung.
