Hotel Al Castello

If you're passing through the famous Gavi wine region in Piedmont, make sure you stay at this lovely hotel. The hotel is situated in the piazza in the centre of Gavi town. There is plenty of parking in the piazza, however it is very quiet considering. The staff were very helpful and professional. The rooms were light and airy, clean and cool, considering the outside temperature was 38 deg C/100 degrees F. We had a family room with a double bed and a single bed. The beds were very comfortable which was very welcome after a long day's drive. We all had a great night's sleep! Hot and cold breakfast is served in a covered garden room, with plenty of choice, aswell as local pastries such as Bacio di Dama and prune cake. We also brought our dog and the hotel was very accommodating. In the evening we had dinner at Ristorante Peccati di Gola, which I would highly recommend. There is a large forte on the hilltop and a local designer outlet which we didn't get the chance to visit as we were only staying one night. We visited La Chiara vineyard, which is a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Their wines are an excellent example of this famous wine region, and I would recommend making a stop there to stock up! I would definitely recommend Hotel Al Castello, and will, no doubt stay there again when visiting the area.

Un comodo tre stelle, facile da raggiungere. Buona la colazione. Migliorabile l'insonorizzazione tra le camere e dall'esterno. Passabile per una notte.

Le logement est très agréable, propreté : rien à redire, juste très cosy, un endroit qui donne envie d'y retourner, l'accueil était excellent, le petit déjeuner également, Une belle découverte !

This was our hotel was our very first night in Italy and it was absolutely perfect. Huge space, amazing tub, charming aesthetic, super comfortable bed, and very helpful and friendly staff. It is so easy to walk to a variety of restaurants for dinner or coffee. Parking is right on site. Elegant, affordable and charming. Absolutely loved this stay!

Que estadia maravilhosa, o café da manhã é servido num local maravilhoso e muito agradável, o quarto é muito bonito, mas a recepção do staff é surreal, me senti em casa! Estávamos perdidas, sem habilidade com o gps, Chiara não mediu esforços para nos ajudar! A outra recepcionista do turno da manhã nos tratou como uma filha nos trata! Sem falar na regiao, que é otima e com uma trattoria maravilhosa e que dá para ir a pé! Fomos agraciadas por essa estadia maravilhosa! Estávamos no outlet serravalle e achávamos que seria só uma dormida, mas foi o ápice da viagem!
