Camping La Focetta Sicula

Camping organizzato bene, la casetta è dotata di tutti i comfort e pulitissima. Spiaggia privata vicinissima e mare cristallino. Ottima posizione per visitare i dintorni tra cui Taormina e Forza d'Agrò. Temperature fresche di giorno e notte

Alcuni servizi extra sono un poco troppo costosi.

Il posto ha una buona posizione, molto vicino alla spiaggia.

Abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile fare il check-in in anticipo, visto che farlo alle 16:30 avrebbe significato perdere un’intera giornata o almeno di posteggiare la macchina e accedere alla spiaggia libera ma e ci è negato. L’ultimo giorno abbiamo lasciato la casetta alle 9:30, ma ci siamo recate nella spiaggia LIBERA antistante, verso le 11:30 ci è stato imposto di lasciare la spiaggia perché il check-out era alle 10:00. Quando abbiamo fatto presente che avevamo lasciato la casetta e che ci trovavamo in una spiaggia libera, senza usufruire di alcun servizio (dato che la spiaggia non è attrezzata) eccetto il parcheggio (che era già stato pagato per l’intera giornata, nonostante la pretesa di farci andare via alle ore 10:00), ci è stato risposto che per accedere alla spiaggia libera “abbiamo utilizzato i suoi gradini” (cito testualmente). - Il parcheggio costa 10 euro al giorno e noi abbiamo pagato 70€ per tutti e sette i giorni prenotati, ma il primo giorno non abbiamo potuto lasciare la macchina se non alle 16:30 e l’ultimo giorno siamo state mandate via alle 11:30. Sarebbe stato più onesto, allora, chiedere una tariffa per mezza giornata all’arrivo e mezza giornata il giorno della partenza. - Il Wi-Fi non ha mai funzionato, ci siamo dovuti arrangiare con l’hotspot dei nostri telefoni. Ci è stato detto che si trattava di un problema “momentaneo”, ma - leggendo le altre recensioni - è un momento che dura almeno dal 2023. In conclusione, sconsigliata, proprietari per niente disponibili a conti fatti, non vale la pena, non torneremo.

This is the fifth time to come here and will come back again. It is a clean place in a perfect spot. Walking distance to supermarkets and other shops. It is also reachable by public transport.

Good good starting position for visiting the city Taormina.

The camp is situated in an unfriendly environment, the visitor does not have the feeling of a holiday. The whole camp is more like a parking lot than a recreation area. Although the beach is a few steps away, it also seems very untidy. The camp has a special parking policy, even if you pay for accommodation in a car cell, you must park in the parking lot in front of the reception and pay extra fees. The information at the reception regarding local transport was not up to date and the TAXI fee to Taormina city was €80 ( !!! ) for a distance of 13 km. Crazy.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE – Completely Misleading, Neglected, and a Total Waste of Money Our stay at Camping La Focetta Sicula was an absolute nightmare from beginning to end. We specifically chose this property because it was advertised as "on the beach," and before booking, we even contacted them to double-check this information. We were explicitly assured that the property was, in fact, on the beach. However, when we arrived, we discovered this was a complete lie. The property is NOT on the beach at all—it’s a depressing two-minute walk away. This is blatant false advertising and a scam. From the moment we arrived, we were met with coldness and rudeness. There was no welcome greeting or inquiry about our trip. Instead, we were immediately asked for our passports in a manner that felt more like a border checkpoint than a hospitality service. We were then shown to Bungalow No. 1, located approximately a two-minute walk from the beach. Right away, we expressed our dissatisfaction, explaining that this was not the beachfront room we had expected. The receptionist hurriedly asked me to return to the office with her to see if she could change our bungalow. As she was already walking back, she shouted in Italian at my wife and daughter, telling them not to touch anything inside Bungalow No. 1. My wife and daughter do not speak Italian, so they had no idea what she was saying. Once back at the office, she told me I was very lucky and that she could offer us a room closer to the beach, though still not on the beach itself. When we returned to Bungalow No. 1, it turned out that my wife had washed her hands in the sink, which had left a few drops of water, and the receptionist declared this a sufficient reason for us not to be moved to the other bungalow. Her tone was extremely rude, scolding us as if we were children before leaving abruptly, leaving us stunned. A bit later, we noticed that what we had assumed was the beach was actually a parking area for camping vans.
