De kamer rook vies. Daarover geklaagd bij de receptie. Airconditioning werkte slecht. Daar kwam de vieze geur ws ook vandaan. Restart via de receptie. Eén van de dames bij t ontbijt was nogal onvriendelijk. Toen ik om zout vroeg, zei ze dat ik t maar bij andere mensen aan tafel moest vragen. Ik vroeg haar om dat te doen. Vervolgens vertrok ze naar de keuken en kwam met een mega grote bus zout. Die niet bepaald vriendelijk op tafel gezet werd. Maar okay, ik had mijn zout…

This is a pretty typical Ibis hotel, clean and comfortable and well located about a 15 minutes walk into the old city. I mainly chose it because it is convenient if you have a car. The parking is ample and it is easy to drive into and out of the main roads. The staff was helpful, but sometimes very busy with guests. There is no coffee tray or cups or refrigerator in the room, which in this day and age is puzzling and a minus. Some of the room furniture is kind of weird, like plastic covered straw filled stools and a hospital style tray/table. The restaurant and bar were handy to have and very pleasant. I liked being able to just order a pretty good Greek salad for dinner. There is a nice patisserie about a ten minute walk up the street where you can get pastries and sandwiches. If I return to Carcassone I would stay here again.

So close to the mediaeval city. Friendly resident cat.
