Hotel De Stokerij

We were given the private' Antiques' room downstairs for our three night stay.. Wow! Charming and very romantic with the double spa bath in the large bathroom. The bathroom had a door, but the wall between it and the bedroom had a window with NO glass so the stereo system in the room was often used! lol! The wonderful breakfast was excellent with bucolic views of fat cows grazing in a gorgeous green field.

The hotel lived up to its previous reviews. We were warmly greeted by the Landlady, and offered a drink and information about Bruges where we were to visit the next day. We were then shown to our room, which had a four poster bed. Lighted candles and night lights dotted around the bedroom and large bathroom gave it a warm and romantic feel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room very clean. Breakfast was varied with plenty of local produce, and home made bread. The evening meal was excellent, although a little pricey. We would recommend this hotel, which certainly lived up to its good reviews. It is set in farmland and is only a 20 minute drive from Bruges.

a good place to stay and make daytrips to both Brugge, Ostende and other quaint places in the neighborhood, without the husstle and bussle form these busy towns.

This hotel is full of character with probably the best breakfast I've ever had. If you're looking for your standard "business" hotel, then this place is not for you, but if you're looking for a hotel with tons of charm and character then I recommend this place. Bruges is only a 15min drive away, and you can park your car at the station car park for 3.50Euros. I would definitely stay again, for the breakfast alone!

We sadly only stayed for one night as we were passing through, but I wish we could've stayed longer! The owner/hostess was VERY nice and accommodating. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and very lovely decorated. Our room was amazing, very beautiful and comfortable. Would most definitely recommend this to a friend, and would gladly stay there again.

This hotel is about 15 minutes from Brugge - lovely countryside. Our bed was so comfortable (king size is rare in Europe) we will return for a longer stay. Great breakfast as well.

This hotel provides a charming rustic alternative for travellers to Bruges and Oostende. The home cooked meal, an optional extra, is a delicious introduction to local cuisine. The breakfast is also exceptional.

The hotel is close to main streets, easy to find, yet surrounded by meadows with sheep and cows. We had a short, but very relaxing stay. The owner showed my kids the "enchanted"caravan room for two and have us great advice regarding trips to Brugge and Ostende. She even gave us her private GPS to find a recommended fish restaurant (which was really good!) close to the beach. The bath room was huge with a big jet bathtub and excellent view over the fields. Unbeatable for Euro 89 for 3 people in the main season; highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay here. (especially the dinner,. the price is 50euro now instead of 39euro I have seen in review. it worth every penny! ) free wifi is offered but not stable here,actually we couldn't use it until the morning that we are ready to leave @@.
