Hotel Acon

We booked a room at Acon due to train trouble, so it was only a 1 night stay. I found it was the cheapest around and extremely close to the main train station - 7 minute walk away - and a busy enough area for there to be plenty of places to eat and drink until very late. The hotel itself has very old fashioned decor, and granted it could do with a bit of TLC and a hell of an update, so it wouldn't be so easy on the eye during lengthier stays. It is also on a slightly seedy road nearby a handful of table dancing/ strip bars. With that being said, the staff were welcoming, the breakfast was great value for money and the beds were comfy enough. Given a choice I wouldn't rush back - but if you're strapped for cash or you just need to rest your head for the night, then it fits the bill.

It was not bad but the most important thing is that case that every place is approacable

The photographs are much better than what one gets on arrival. It is not very close to the station and is away from landmarks. The hotel staff is good. The hotel is not in a good area. Over the weekend there is too much loud music and noise as there are sex shops and lap dancing saloons. The overall maintenance and cleaniliness needs supervision. The cupboard dusty and unclean. The towels were not clean and old. Hotel is definitely a no no for families.

You shouldn't use the elevator if you are afraid that things older than 40 years might stop working (and feel like it, too). Room is ok and quite big, and the nostalgia hits you hard with a phone and radio that look like they were put there 40 years ago - like everything else in the hotel. Matresses are soft (good for me), bathroom was not 100% clean. All in all I would pay 35€ for a stay like that in germany, 50€ is a bit much. Btw: On the same street are - 2 table-dance clubs - 1 nightclub - 1 sex-movie shop

ホテルの回りは少しアラブ系で大人の遊び場が点在します。夜もうるさく暴走族やパトカーがひっきりなしです。朝方までどこかでガンガン音楽をやっているようで、それが建物を通じて聞こえてきます。そういうのをきにしなければ、駅にも近く朝食もついているのでいいホテルです。

This is an old hotel and could do with cash spent on it. Its + points are, very near station, approx. 10 mins walk, staff are attentive. The main negative is the location as its in a predominantly red light area with sex shops, lap dancing etc all around. Fine for those that want that I suppose. This is my second visit so yes, it can't be that bad but if you are not a fan of the type of entertainment mentioned you would be better off looking somewhere else. In its day prior to the alternative establishments moving in - I dare say it was very good. The facilities are very limited to a bar only.

Har legat på Acon förut och bokade igen för att det är billigt och nära hbf. De säger att de har Wifi, men fungerar ej på rummen. Det "suger"! Men gick bra att använda i frukostmatsalen. Skulle ej använda detta hotell för mer en natt. Rena sängar, men mycket fläckar på mattan och möbler, känns ofräscht. Fick stort rum med tre sängar, där en mest var ivägen. Personal är dock trevliga.

I only stayed one night here after staying elsewhere in Dusseldorf and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was the cheapest I could find and very, very good value for money. The rooms are dated BUT they are very spacious, clean, free wifi, free breakfast, wonderful staff and a pretty great location. Really good value for money. 4mins walk from the main train station, 10mins walk to the Kö, 15min taxi ride to the airport. The area does have some strip clubs around but does not seem to be an issue. I was happy with my stay here.

Vanha ja ränsistynyt hotelli rautatieaseman vieressä. Riittävä yhden yön majoitukseen budjettimatkalla.

Türklerin yoğun olarak yaşadıkları bir bölgede temiz, rahat ve sakin bir otel. Restoranlara ve şehir merkezine yakınlığı da ayrıca güzel. Bir daha gidersem yine aynı oteldte kalırım diye düşünüyorum.
