Hôtel du Château Annecy

Great location

Great location but it was a shame that the room was so small, it really should be a single bedroom. Lovely man at reception who was very welcoming and helpful. Really close to the old town amenities. Good for a couple of nights but any longer you would need more space. The walls were paper think and we got woken in the night by people coming in late. There was also a room nearby where their bathroom was across the hallway and spare to the room. So we were woken up in the night a few times when they went to the toilet. Sheets had some stains on and room needed a lick of paint. Cushions not particularly comfy but that's personal preference. Shame about size of room.

I loved this hotel. The room was small, and it did not have air conditioning. But the bed was extremely comfy! The staff was also very lovely and helpful. The hotel also has a small patio terrace that overlooks Annecy - it's a great spot to eat a snack or read a book.

Close to old town, lake, dinning, and shopping.

We really liked our stay. The hotel was clean, conviniently located just a few steps from the old town and the main touris spots. The host were very accommodating. We would recommend this hotel to anybody.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the town and parks but be aware it is quite a steep walk down to these places so therefore what goes down must come up so slow and steady wins the race. Lots of restaurants close by and lucky enough to there on Market day.
