Hotel Restaurante Les Brases

Came across this hotel by chance as it was raining very heavily and we did not want to camp, we only stopped to get a drink, and am glad we did as we stayed for three nights. There were five of us, all touring the Pyrenees on Motorbikes and were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and especially Virginia on Reception who could not have been more helpful, talk about having the right person in the right job. There is a very secure garage just for motorbikes at the back of the hotel. The breakfasts were great, proper bacon and a good choice of eggs plus the usual continental fare and lots of it. If you choose to have your evening meal in the hotel beware, we did and my God there was so much food! You just couldn't eat it all. I guess they are used to feeding hungry skiers and not middle aged bikers, plus wine was included. The hotel was very clean and with good services, would definitely stay here again when next in the Pyrenees.

This is the second time I have stayed here while in the area with friends on holiday and it was as good as the first Rooms are a good size with tv and comfortable beds Staff are all friendly and the restaurant is good value with a good choice from the different menus available that you can pick and choose from Would recommend this hotel without hesitation Just remember it is not a 5 star hotel and you will be happy enough here

Great service. Great food. Comfortable beds. Short walk to 'town'

We are family of four in a trip around Catalunya. The hotel was perfect for us. Clean, quit and in a town with many restaurants around. Good choice for traveling families.

OK. One principle for rating from me. If you book a 3* hotel measure it by that standard. You get what you pay for Les Brases Hotel is a traditional small town hotel. Welcoming, clean, warm, efficient and good value. Quite busy I thought for late Sept but its got lots to offer in the area. A 3.5 hr drive from Barcelona Sort has a bit of an alpine feel with many of the buildings being chalet shaped and pine cladding on the inside. The restaurant is a bit 'canteenish' but service is very efficient,the food is plentiful and wholesome.

Positive: Good location, reasonably priced, fair breakfast, free parking. Negatives: Bathroom had strange ceiling with moldy looking insulation above the shower. The rooms had odd decorations that felt very juvenile and left me wondering how they clean them. The beds only had one pillow. The lobby / restaurant feels like a youth hostel with the jumble of things in the small space.

We booked this very late on the night we were staying and we were very lucky with this one. Friendly receptionist got us booked in and we were able to get something to eat as well. Portions were fantastic and staff were lovely. It's a beautiful setting. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was again great! Would return if I was in the area again. Thank you.

Perfect for what I was looking for. Clean and roomy with decent WIFI and a solid breakfast. The staff were also pretty friendly. Bathroom a bit dated but ok. Nice and warm throughout, flatscreen TV, free parking right outside.

The room was clean, spacious and good beds. The breakfast in the morning is really nice, eggs baked at order and a good coffee!The hotel has a free wifi service which works really well and parking nearby enough to choose!

We were traveling through the area and ended up in Sort for the night. We stayed at Hotel Brases and had a nice clean room that had everything we required. The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We also ate dinner at the hotel where the menu of the day was a good deal. We can recommend this hotel for anybody staying in the area.
