"Location near airport - excellent facilities"

Location only 6 minutes drive to airport. Close to a few restaurants in walking distance. Beautiful pool and gardens. Very relaxing environment. Balcony view. Wonderful! Great breakfast with hot and cold variety.

The double bed as two single beds put together. A dip in the middle. Dissapointing..

"Basic but good enough for a short stay"

Staff is very nice and the breakfast is good.

Nothing; however, if you choose the hotel for its railway location and end up decide taking airport bus (tickets are available on board), be aware that taking the bus in front of the railway station may take longer. The bus will first go to the city center and then loop back to the railway station (at another bus stop, a couple before the Duomo; Google map did not advise the shortest route for me). You can take buses to reach the Duomo (10m; EUR1.4, but you need to buy bus tickets first from tobacco shops first).

"Rigel hotel is traditional, simple, well-run, and near Catania station."

Rigel hotel is very near Catania station, the front desk often has a person otherwise you ring the doorbell. Everything is in good condition although not recently renovated & this was reflected in my price. Cleanliness everywhere was faultless, even the floor of the room & bathroom. Staff were all excellent, friendly & professional. Breakfast is continental with baked goods, fruit, cheese & ham with hot drink on request. Below the hotel is a cafe.

There was nothing I didn’t like but if one expects a shiny modern hotel & a hot breakfast then go elsewhere.
