L'Hôtel du Cirque

The location is great - just a few steps from the old city centre! The room was spacious with comfortable beds.

Our room was situated aside from the building with reception so the was no wi-fi at all at our room. It only started to work when you get near the reception. Also, the shower was not very comfortable, so everything around got wet.

Calme, bel emplacement, parking privé, personnel accueillant.

Safe parking. Comfortable room.

Nothing really but we had stayed two weeks previously and found the staff really helpful. However this time, the guy on the reception was unhelpful when we left and would not open the gate for us to leave as the previous receptionist had done, forcing me to get out of the car and punch in the code. As he could do that for us without leaving his seat, I thought that was lazy.

It was a very unpleasant experience for us. We are 81 years old, and had driven 340 ks to get there. We expected to have a studio where we could cook our own food, but, that was not what they had for us. We had bought lots of fresh food that needed to be cooked immediately, but, that wasn’t possible, so we didn’t stay there. They offered to store our food in their refrigerator for 4 days, but, our food wouldn’t have kept for that long. The room that was offered was very small, not what we expected from our long term experience with Logis hotels. The owner of the business was dishonest as he didn’t give us back our parking fees or our tourist fees. We didn’t get any refund on our accomodation .

In our long term experiences of over 20 years of travel in France, we have had some very helpful owners of properties, who would have helped us through difficult situations like this. They would have given us some money back on our accomodation, and would have immediately refunded the parking fees and the tourist taxes. We are very disappointed in Booking.com as they weren’t any help, even though we have been long term customers. We are now using another organisation to do our bookings. They may not even publish this critique.

Hôtel bien situé pour visiter Troyes . Hôtel calme avec parking sécurisé

Ik was op doorreis en het kunnen huren van een afgesloten garagebox was ideaal. Hotel in een rustige straat maar toch heel dichtbij het oude centrum van Troyes die ik dan te voet kon verkennen. Heel vriendelijke dames bij ontvangst en ontbijt.

Krappe badkamer maar het was maar voor 1 nacht.

Emplacement pratique. Personnel sympathique.

Chambre pas super propre. Salle de bain mal conçue : impossible de prendre une douche sans transformer toute la salle de bain en piscine.
