Marmont Heritage Hotel

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Although the hotel is not located on a street, when we arrived by cab from the airport, there was someone from the hotel at the taxi stop to greet us and take our luggage. The hotel is not fancy, but is well appointed. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. You are stones throw from the center of Diocletian's Palace and can walk everywhere in the older section(s) of Split. Also, the provided breakfast is located in the adjoining restaurant and was excellent. The next time we are in Split, we will stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for ten days in June with our two granddaughters who are in their early twenties and we all loved it! The position in the old town is perfect; narrow streets and charming squares providing a multitude and variety of dining choices, quirky shops and places to wander. Yet just a very short walk to the Riva full of bustle and life. The hotel is very quiet and the air conditioned rooms are of good size and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was varied and good with everything that you could want. However the biggest praise of all is surely for the staff as so many other reviews have noted. Everybody was so charming and helpful but above all the front desk and concierge were simply wonderful. A special mention must be made of Marija who arranged all our various trips and quite simply made our holiday the wonderful and unforgettable experience we all enjoyed. She is a star. Everybody looks for something different in a hotel but for us this hotel was just perfect. We loved it.

Even the many great reviews don’t do this property and the staff justice! The lovely boutique hotel’s Old Town location was peaceful yet perfect for exploring historical sites, restaurants, nearby attractions, and the waterfront. Our large and spacious premium suite with a small comfortable terrace, offered modern upgrades, was spotless and quiet—we couldn’t have asked for better! To the lovely front desk staff Anna and Marija, and Dubo at the concierge counter, thank you for your seamless and friendly communications (from airport travel arrangements to outlet adapter plug questions), prior to our arrival and for your sincere warmth, quick smiles, and exceptional hospitality during our stay. We fell in love with Split and hope to one day return—but only if we can book at this hotel!
