I stayed here during my trip to Modica and really liked the location — it’s right in the center, on Umberto. All the main sights are close by, and there are plenty of cafés, bars, and shops around. There’s a tourist train that stops near the hotel, and we actually took a ride on it — it was a fun way to see the town. My room was cozy and I liked the interior. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple — just pastries and drinks, like a typical Italian breakfast — but it was enough for me. I’d definitely recommend this place if you want to explore Modica by foot and enjoy the local vibe.

It was our first time in Modica, and we chose the hotel based on photos and location — and it was a lucky pick right away! The location is very convenient, right in the center, with cafes, beautiful streets, and sights all nearby. The interior impressed me — antique furniture like I’ve never seen before. It’s really beautiful and unique, with a special atmosphere. Definitely a 10 out of 10. I will definitely come back here!

La posizione centralissima.

Andrebbe innanzitutto chiarito che non si tratta di un hotel ma di un B&B. Inoltre, andrebbe eliminato il riferimento alla SPA e al centro benessere, che non esistono. La reception non è aperta 24/24 ore ma bisogna concordare l’orario con la signora Laura, che gestisce tutto ed è l’unica persona che lavora per la struttura (fa da receptionist, cameriera e donna delle pulizie). Il pagamento è anticipato, con la conseguenza di creare problemi a chi per esempio non lo aveva previsto per varie ragioni. Anche la colazione va concordata e deve necessariamente avvenire in un orario compreso tra le 9:00 e le 10:00; peraltro, la colazione è molto povera e non vale minimamente ciò che costa. Le stanze sono sprovviste di macchinette per il caffè, di bollitore, di frigo e di bottiglie d’acqua (cosa importante, dato che in Sicilia l’acqua del rubinetto non è potabile) ma hanno un inutile televisore con prese e fili a vista che guastano l’arredamento barocco. L’arredamento barocco delle stanze fa senz’altro un’impressione positiva ma non compensa la scomodità generale. A essere scomodo è soprattutto il bagno, dove non c’è posto per poggiare alcunché, il lavandino è una specie di vasca, l’acqua era torbida e quasi bianca, il water è altissimo, la carta igienica di qualità scadente e soprattutto manca il box doccia (sostituito da un’orrenda tendina di plastica per niente barocca e che causa allagamenti continui di tutto il bagno e addirittura dell'intera camera!). Il wi-fi non funzionava. In conclusione, l’attuale descrizione che si legge online inganna l’utente, che al momento dell’arrivo rimarrà senz’altro deluso.
