Hotel Baeren

check in was suppose to be at 3 and would have an envelope with our name and the key at the front desk but when we entered the hotel at 3, nothing was on the front desk . we waited close to 15 mins before another couple came in looking for their check in stuff. ONCE we got our keys we walked into our very out dated room (which is apart of the history of the place) it had a nice view in the back of the mountains which was breathtaking ! check out was easy

Located in such a breathtaking place, good breakfast and great amenities.

We received an email just a couple of days before our visit informing us there would be no restaurant available. When we arrived there were envelopes on the reception desk with names on and keys inside - no staff at all. The room was tired and dated, the beds uncomfortable and we generally felt the hotel was way overpriced. We were charged an addition CHF3 to park the car. The location is beautiful, however.

We were only in Switzerland for a couple of days as part of a larger trip but the Hotel Bären was ideally located to explore the Interlaken region and for hiking around Kandersteg. The views from our room were stunning and the area was quiet and relaxing. It is preferable to have a car when visiting as the hotel is 15 minutes or so up a relatively twisty road. The staff were friendly, check in/out was straightforward and the breakfast was really good!

Sehr guter Service von den beiden Mitarbeitern, die sich um uns gekümmert haben, mit viel Herzlichkeit. Aber die Einrichtungen sind sehr alt und renovierungsbedürftig.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel in mitten der Berge mit toller Aussicht und privatem Whirpool. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker mit genügend Auswahl. Vor Ort gibt es zudem ein tägliches Gericht als Abendessen, dieses war sehr lecker. Der Check in funktioniert reibungslos. Ein wenig mehr Sichtschutz beim Whirlpool wäre schön. Zudem haben die Zimmer keinen Fernseher

I would highly recommend this hotel. The views of the snow topped mountains are amazing. Staff was great and the breakfast was perfect. We would stay here again on a future visit.

There was no one to talk live. Have to call them for little things like iron. No iron, no tissues box, old carpet with smell. Night time chef was friendly but other young girl was who was managing everything was rude. I don’t recommend it if you want to use local transportation. You must have rent a car or personal vehicle to get there.
