This was my second stay. The first last year was okay. So I decided to stay and try it again. I was given room 210. I entered, the room, it was ice cold with only a space heater in it. This was December 7th. I went to the front desk Jeff(?) the maintenance person was there, I told him the situation and he gave me a 2nd space heater. I asked if there was a different room available, he said no. I couple minutes later he knocked and said he had a new room. Number 104. I thanked him. I moved my bags and settled in. Upon entering the bed, I saw the sheets had not been changed. You could tell by the portion of the bed that was not slept on AND there were a persons pubic hairs clearly on the bottom sheet. Too tired to complain, I slept on top of the blanket in my clothes. I told myself, never again stay at this property.

Great economical and historical place to enjoy our vacation. Clean and shows ADK heritage. Hope it always stays this way

Great lovation just in town center, big parking lot, great restaurant in hotel which serves Polish-American food. Will never rent any other hotel in Lake Placid. It is just fantastic.

Great old building. My room was super clean. I would have liked another blanket, as it was a pretty chilly night. But I turned up the thermstat and it was fine.

This is a value priced option in Lake Placid. The building is lovely, but it is falling into disrepair. I hope the management will be able to address this before it goes too far.

TERRIBLE! NOT SAFE & DIRTY. THE ONLY REVIEW YOU NEED. This is your sign to please not book this hotel. this is my first review ever because this place needs to be reported. When we arrived our room wasn’t cleaned (dirty from the booking before us although they told us it was ready). then, we get to our newly assigned room on the top floor (no elevators btw!) and it’s the FILTHIEST room I’ve ever been in: musty smell, dirty carpets with actual rotten food and trash they stuffed wardrobe (a mountain of old Kleenex, molded lettuce & other garbage!) thinking we wouldnt open it? they promised us this new room was pristine. tub and sink we’re disgusting and dirty. NO HEATING, we were freeeezing. I also heard someone screaming bloody murder at 4am from the lobby for 15 minutes I almost called the cops. we had booked 2 nights and left after the first night without reimbursement (wtv). I couldn’t get out of there faster. DONT go here bc you’ll regret it.

There were a couple issues with the room, but the front desk representative could not have been more helpful to make sure everything was perfect
