Red Roof Inn PLUS+ & Suites Guilford

Property is old, furniture in the unit was super old, ripped couches. They never updated anything. The floor was dirty, it felt like no one ever mopped it

pet friendly with parking right outside of the room. plenty of green space for the pooch. small town option compared to staying in New Haven. local grocery and dining is a few miles up the road. the "suites" part of it gives you more square footage and a kitchenette, but the kitchen is not stocked with any cookware or silverware or plates. in our room the toilet flush handle was broken.

Ease of check in and out

There was a random sound that continued for 3 hours starting at 2, and didn't stop till 5. Room smelled like cigarettes

Honestly wish it was a little cleaner. Like it needs a good detailed clean, and just have the staff keep up with it... Everything else was great!

Convenience

WAY overpriced, the room was clean but stunk like a sweet sanatorium smell. It was horrible, if I wasn’t so tired from driving all day I would have asked for another room. The security lock on the was attached with only 2 loose screws. It is supposed to have 4, it looked like it had been busted into. The refrigerator was so loud, I had to unplug it. I could then hear the refrigerator upstairs whining away. Bottom line. The price is way too high for the quality and lack of amenities. The stench is unbearable for more than a night.

Cabinets were falling off. Wasn’t that clean. Smelled like marjauana .. didn’t have a pool

I reserved the property 4 days in advance. The 5 hours before I was supposed to check in the hotel called me and said that the room wasn't available and there was no vacancy at the hotel. Expedia's customer service was able to give me an immediate refund and offered to help find another room for me.
