Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria

My fiancé had a training in Old Town Alexandria, and we opted to stay at The Archer for a cozy, intimate getaway. The staff here is amazing, super accommodating, discreet, and kind. They always try to accommodate their guests and fulfill requests whenever possible. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted me almost every time I left and returned, which was often while exploring the area. They answered any questions we had about the town and surrounding attractions and were especially helpful in finding parking in the middle of the city, even off-site! The rooms were clean, well appointed, and featured adjustable heating and cooling. We also had a nice little view of the city. The bed is incredibly soft and cool at first, though it warms up quickly once you settle in. The pillows are very plush with goose feathers, so if you prefer a firmer pillow, you may want to request an extra one. The room-darkening curtains are excellent for keeping the room cool and blocking out the sun. The service and food at HomeGrown are fantastic, and everything we tried was delicious. AKB is also a great option for dinner, drinks, or a quick bite on the go. The room amenities are top-tier as well. The slippers are comfortable, the robes are soft, clean, and cozy, and the shower gets wonderfully hot perfect for relaxing and refreshing after a long day. The room rates were right up our alley, and in my opinion, you get a luxurious stay for a steal, especially with a lion-claw tub!

We never had the opportunity to stay here. We booked for a wedding thru the wedding website link but never received the confirmation. The next morning I called to confirm. I was told there was no reservation and there were no rooms available under the block. My adult son also booked online and also did not receive a confirmation. However, they did have his reservation. They did want me to book under their regular rate instead of just adding me to the block. NOPE. Seems they should have/could have done better.

It might be nice to offer coffee and tea all day at the reception area instead of morning :)

I like the location to places we visited. I also like the customer service. Everyone was very helpful. The cleaning staff was good as well.

I have stayed at this hotel before and I did not experience what I did this time around. The room I stayed in this time was not good at all. The room shook every time doors closed and shook the bed area frequently. The sink got clogged during our stay and maintenance had to fix it. The shower also backed up. We requested maintenance for this issue but it was not needed as it fixed itself somehow.

We stayed 4 nights here while visiting Alexandria and had a great stay. The hotel is walking distance to the waterfront as well as the metro station. There is a good breakfast and lunch spot next door and lots of shopping and restaurants near. The hotel is valet park and has a great courtyard. Inside is a library/ study and it is overall a quiet place. We had a king room with a balcony and pull out couch. The pull out is rough but I’ve never found one that isn’t. The bed was comfortable and the shower and bathroom is European, all one room together . The staff was pleasant and we had no issues

I've been here before and enjoyed it and this return visit was just as enjoyable. From the front courtyard to the friendly service to the comfortable room to the nice breakfast, all was on point.
