Tolani Resort Kui Buri

The room need renovation

We have been coming to Tolani Kui Buri since it was the X2 Kui Buri, but this will be our last visit. The new owners have made significant changes and not for the better. All of the good managers have left and the quality of the food has gone downhill. At breakfast, Tonlani used to have the standard buffet and an ala carte menu included with the breakfast. You could order eggs Benedicts, waffles, pancakes, French toast and Thai dishes. They even had fresh coconuts and mango juice but not anymore. There used to be fresh bread you could slice and toast, but now there is only processed white and wheat sandwich bread. During our stay there was squeeze your own fresh orange juice and there was also pineapple juice. This was discontinued during our stay. Tried to order a hamburger from room service but they did not have any. How can you run out of hamburgers? So I ordered a Hawaiian pizza as in the past it was good made with fresh Kui Buri pineapple but what I received was terrible. The cheese was rancid and covered everything so I couldn’t see the pineapple. I could taste ketchup instead of a tomato sauce for the base. Didn’t even finish one slice as it was so bad. At dinner had the pork chop which was smothered in cold gravy to hide to poor quality of pork which was very dry. They advertise happy hour of buy 1 get 1 for cocktails, mock-tails and beer. I tried to order beer but was told it was not included in happy hour even though beer was advertised in happy hour (see photo). During the rest of our stay, we went to Prachuap Kiri Khan for our meals instead of eating the poor quality of food at Tolani. It is a shame what happened to the quality of the food as the servers and housekeepers are very friendly and helpful. So just like management who left Tolani Kui Buri, we too shall no longer stay at Tolani Kui Buri and instead take our business elsewhere.
