Vegan breakfast was great

Room was outstanding with huge balcony. Breakfast was delicious and service was also of a high standard. Very welcoming and efficient. Room was spotless with lovely nautical decor. Loved the quirky headboard.

Entrance hallway poor condition, as was stairs and landing up to rooms needed a very good brush up. Poor ventilation in rooms. Dated externally.

Our 2nd time staying here We like the location overlooking the marina and it was central for our purpose of visiting family

Although the bedrooms are cleverly thought out and kept clean and comfortable-I did ask for a room overlooking the marina -but on each visit was told they were fully booked

SERVICE is awful 😖 I am long standing customer and have had many up and downs with this pub. I've never felt the need to leave a review until yesterday. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken plus coffee and a coke. I've had this dish before and normally you can expect food to be served within 15 minutes. After waiting for more than 25 minutes and not having any communications about the delay I was forced to ask at the bar where my food was. This was the exact response I had: "I can see you ordered at 12.46. We are now at 1.11pm. You are not the only customer we have and we cannot just cook just for you. I'll check where you're food is." The lady then calls the kitchen and asks where the salad is. She then says to me it's on its way, do you still want it? I asked for refund as the whole response was patronising and had no apology for any of the lack of service or communication. She then proceeded to ask the manager for a refund and in a loud voice in front of other customers said "she wants a refund as she's had to wait for her food". The manager just processed it and told me it would be on my card layer today. Again no apology. What concerns me is the lack of accountability for the delay for a salad with some grilled chicken and the lack of apology for recognising standards have not been met. Locals I've spoken too have also mentioned this decline in service.
