Please be sure to check for road closures during winter months. Highway 120 (Tioga Pass) typically closes from late October until late May. When the Tioga Road is closed, it is not possible to drive to Tuolumne Meadows or enter Yosemite National Park from the east. All other park entrances, including those along Highway 120 from the west, Hetch Hetchy, Highway 140, and Highway 41, remain open all year. Pool is not operational as it is under maintenance. PLEASE BE ADVISED BEFORE YOU BOOK: THE PROPERTY IS OPEN AND CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR A FULL RENOVATION . CONSTRUCTION AREAS WILL BE TAPED OFF AND NOT ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC SO PLEASE STAY OUT OF THESE AREAS. My room was exceptionally clean and spacious and had new furnishings. The location was convenient and the lady who checked me in was very friendly. The fridge, microwave, and coffee maker added convenience for my trip.

There were no curtains in the bathroom, so I had to fashion my own with a towel and a hanger. There was a lot of noise from passing traffic at night. The AC unit was extremely loud, so I eventually turned it off and dealt with the heat. There were a few cracks in the floor that could cause injury to anyone not paying attention.

My room reservation was smoothly processed.

Location of the motel is not great. Nothing around the area at all. Big clear glass window in the bathroom with no covering over it. That was…odd. The next morning I saw that the window looked out on a small pasture. Ok, not a street but why no shade or curtain over the bathroom window? Speaking of windows, the only window in the main hotel room has a shade that either plunges the room into darkness or, when raised, gives absolutely no privacy. Lastly, the room light works the same way: when on, the room is lit as bright as a stage. The rope lighting around and across the whole room is quite unnecessary. However, if that light is turned off the only light in the room is a cheap, tiny bedside lamp that hardly gives any light at all.

The toom was very large and roomy. Very clean and comfortable bed. The shower wad very great. Lots of power and hand held nozzle was nice.

Not much of any view except horses grazing out the bathroom window.
