Rest Detail Hotel Hua Hin

I loved the tranquil setting of the accommodation and the pool areas. It was picturesque! The room we had was spacious and we loved the chill areas, such as the large bath, reading nook, balcony and private pontoon leading to the pool.

The only downside to this accommodation was its distance to local restaurants and the markets. It was a bit isolated, however, you just have to plan your stay to work around this.

Lovely, sprawling property with excellent staff, ample free parking spaces and a better than expected buffet breakfast! I stayed in the "Rest Horizon" private jacuzzi room and found the jacuzzi to be sufficiently private. AC was strong and worked well. I did not have high expectations for the buffet breakfast but it wowed me with the selection -- there was even a drinks station where a staff member would make you Thai iced tea, iced lemon tea, etc.

I appreciated the in-room coffee machine, but was disappointed to see there were additional charges if you used more than two (2) pods per day. While the bathroom has a wooden sliding door for privacy, the wooden slats allow sounds to travel into the main bedroom, which could be uncomfortable for some guests. The location is not great if you are not travelling with your own car; you need to drive essentially everywhere -- probably not ideal for extended stays as you'll be using Grab a lot. I was on the top floor of the hotel and the shower's water pressure was just ok, not particularly good. The jacuzzi water was not warmed, so was quite cold in the evening.
