Nikiforos is the real deal. He picked us up from the port, told us about secret pathways to the main town and sights, and upgraded our room instantly based on a last-minute request. He even helped re-baptize my girlfriend with a more Greek name (Francis became Froso).
Showed us where to go,best places to eat. Had a boat at 1800 and let us use our room all day until 1700 when niki drove us to ferry.
We went with 3 single guys and although this hotel is out of the main town and party areas we had the best service from Nikki the owner! This guy went above and beyond and you will never receive this type of treatment anywhere in Ios.
Nicky and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. They sat down with us to map out the island, arranged transportation, and they were just really a friendly and nice couple. Hospitalty was top notch and the value was great.....
After a quick change in plans we had to find affordable accomidatook in Ios very quickly. Nick picked us up from the port and tool us to the hotel which is approx 800 meters away from the port. His wife Lisa rang through all he ins and outs of the island. She then helped us with laundry and made us feel at home after a very terrible morning. We cannot rate this hotel high enough! Next time we are in Ios will be back here!
Nikki was waiting to meet us from the ferry which was a nice surprise and very welcome. He has a lovely hotel with large bright spacious rooms and a lovely garden and swimming pool which we had to ourselves.Nikki and his family made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of information for places to visit on his beautiful island. It is only about a five minute walk down to the beach and another five in to the port to visit the lovely tavernas there. We would recommend Enigma for the best Greek Salad ever. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brothers. Hotel
Very nice and helpful hosts. Rooms clean and bright. Perfect location: 5 minutes away from the port and 10 minutes away from the Hora.
We arrived from Santorini having arranged to get picked up, and the car was ready waiting for us when we got there. Then they went through all the things there were to do on the island, recommended somewhere we could see the sunset from and have a nice dinner after, and sorted out a hire car for us while we were there. It's a little out of the way, but it's still only about 5-10 minutes walk from the nearest beach, or 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of town (if you want to go clubbing in the evening or anything :) ). Would definitely stay there again if I was going back.
For the price I was expecting something very basic but it wa comfortabe, spacious, everything was in good condition, friendly family run hotel. Would definitely reccommend.
Unlike most greek islands the downtown area for Ios is not near the port. I made a mistake when booking this hotel and found out about it after my arrival. The hotel is about a 25 mins walk from the port which has a few shops and restaurants but really really sleepy. Hora the town center is about another 30 mins walk on the main road or a 20 mins walk if you do the shhort cut stairs. So keeping in mind that this would take you almost an hour to get into the center of the town and the bus only departs from the port of the town. I rented a car for a day which was just enough time to see the entire island.
