W Hoboken

Expansive views of of Manhattan across the Hudson River. Right next to wonderful river walking/bike path.

It was great staying at the W Hoboken. View of the city and easy access to the path. There many coffee shops near by.

Spa was great!

Always love the smell of the hotel and the view.

As most Mariott hotels, it is incredibly overpriced. Sterile rooms in old highrise. You can't open the windows. Wifi is not included.

My daughter and son in law live in Hoboken so I have stayed at the W several times. Previously the experiences were wonderful. This visit was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel in at least the last decade. The hotel is under construction. I was placed on the 12th floor in a newly renovated room just adjacent to the construction The room did not have a desk, a minibar nor any bathroom amenities. I have been in view rooms previously and they were lovely. This time I had no view. The hotel was not full, I have Marriott status and Amex platinum but still given an ‘unfinished room’. I informed the staff that I planned to be in Hoboken for a longer stay soon and interested if this hotel experience was to be expected. Amazingly, there was no excuse for the lack of minibar, desk or amenities. No option to improve the situation. No option to change the room even though the hotel was not full. I was just told that the renovation would be done at the end of the year by then the rooms should have minibars, desks and amenities. They assured me I could request a different room when I return. WHAT??? I have been back to see my daughter and brand new grandchild but stayed at the Sheraton Lincoln - an amazing major upgrade. Couldn’t have been a worse experience all around.
