Hideaway Island Resort

Great location for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Suggestions for management- ensure plenty of breakfast and evening meals available as often ran out of food.

We loved our week on Hideaway Island, all the staff made us feel very welcome, we had a fantastic time snorkeling, kayaking, walking and just relaxing.

Awesome place to relax, staff are amazing and plenty of snorkling/diving, good food and bar and plenty of sun lounges! If you need to chill out, grab yourself a book and forget about the world for a while. Top Spot!

Amazing resort on Hideaway Island with snorkeling and underwater post office. Beautiful location, nice rooms and friendly staff.

Good for price but toilet and showers need updating.

Staff and location location location. Overpriced on food and beverages buts that's the same all around Vanuatu. Don't expect a cheap holiday on drinks/meals but the people are beautiful

I love the property in general, and the underwater post office is just such a cool and novel idea. The coconut curry at the Beach Bar is AMAZING, by the way. It is a must have. I couldn't give it 5 stars because we stayed in a share room, which was our own room, but shared bathroom, and the shared bathrooms were not maintained wonderfully. The floors were constantly wet, and the trash overflowing. Tons of mosquitos, but I guess that can't be helped with open doors and a wet environment.

We stayed in one of the villas. It was a little dated and had seen better days. The staff were very friendly but we had no hot water for the first three days of our stay. While we accept that these things happen there was no offer of any redress in any way, shape or form which we found a little galling given we were staying for a week and paying over $200 per night. An apology and a small credit to our account would have gone a long way but we got not much of the first and none of the second from the owners. Very disappointing in that respect.

very good resort that is only 3 star but room is comfortable especially ocen view bungalows with private amenities...breakfast the same every day and bar menu very limited but i did 6 nights so it was ok...would definitely come back to hideaway

We stayed one night in a bungalow, which was really spacious and comfortable, and had private access via stairs to the beach. We didn't eat at the restaurant, other than for the included breakfast, which was fine. We ate instead at the Beach Bar, on the mainland side. Great for snorkelling, and for the included glass bottom boat tour, and easy to get taxis etc. Recommended for a short stay.
