When booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. From October 2nd to November 30th, we are redeveloping some of our bedrooms at the hotel. Please note, during this period there will be extensive works going on in one area of the hotel, however this will be limited to daytime hours, so disruption will be kept to a minimum.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. "Lovely place but too expensive and car was damaged in the car park."

Breakfast was great apart from the first morning when they messed up our order.

There is a large boulder that overhangs one of the car parking spaces. I reversed into the spot and caught the front bumper and alloy wheel. Now have a £850 repair bill.

The Hotel is in the most beautiful position looking onto the lake and we had a great lake view from our bedroom! The staff are very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble

"Unbelievable hotel with fantastic views!"

The view from our 4 posted bedroom was amazing looking over Ullswater and the gardens.

Although the room had a 4 poster bed it was very hard no mattresses topper and when you turned over in bed the frame rattled.
