The Wildwood Hotel

The hotel is in a great location! Clean, quiet, and safe area. This is my go-to when I am working in the St Louis area. It is worth the little bit of a commute to stay somewhere nice without having to worry about some of the issues you encounter in STL or Clayton downtown areas.

The only room for improvement is in the breakfast area. The breakfast does have everyone's favorite waffles though.

Very nice hotel and staff was very attentive. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. Parking was on street - Breakfast had some different selections.

A/C was a bit loud so we had to turn it off at night. Got a little warm in the room due to having the unit off, but at least we got sleep.

Excellent breakfast love the area. He was beautiful and peaceful. The kids enjoy the swimming pool.

The ambience

I am overly conscious of how clean a bathroom is! It’s just me…. I did not take a bath because the calking needed repair. I felt it was not clean.

I can’t remember her name, but the lady that checked me in and out was extremely helpful. I contacted the hotel a day or two prior and she was able to assist me with all of my requirements. She went above and beyond to make my partners birthday special.

The day I checked in and the day I checked out the day I checked in there was a guy at the counter and he ignored me into the helpful lady came the day I checked out there was a older lady there that ignored it and did not acknowledge me to any degree Into the other helpful lady came up yet again I did not like that at all, but once another customer came, she was very polite and bubbly. I felt a difference for sure.

Não tem serviço de limpeza nos quartos no fim de semana e não estava descrito no booking, eu só soube quando fui reclamar na recepção. Me informaram que havia um aviso no elevador.

The property is in any unique area of shops

Location

Room was not cleaned properly from the previous clients. There were bits and pieces of paper, pencils and batteries on the floor between the bed and the wall when we checked in. They never vacuumed or made the beds properly for the duration of our stay. We had to call for replacement towels every day. We asked for trash bags to empty the trash since they only collected it once during our 7 days. The shampoo and body soap was empty. The breakfast consisted of 2 or 3 waffle makers, The rest was frozen breakfast sandwiches that had to be microwaved, hardly any bread, a lousy 4 slice toaster that took forever to toast and strawberry jam, peanut butter and frozen butter packs as condiments, that’s was their free continental breakfast that they included! The shower water pressure was non existent and there was hardly any hot water. This is the 2nd time we stayed there and thought that it would have improved since last year, but the same lousy service and dirty rooms. We will never stay there again!!!
