Idéal location in Chicago center. Walking distance to everything

Location was perfect. Room was ok. Has a fridge, no microwave. Comfy bed, great pillows.

We were told we had a $25 credit to use on food, but the restaurants attached were too busy for us to use it.

The Wit is well located. The rooms are spacious and clean, the fitness center is well equipped and the restaurant’s food is good. The Wit lacks a buffet breakfast for the busy business traveler (although room service is available) and there is no in-house market to buy snacks or get coffee (but Dunkin' Donuts is right down the street and a 7-11 is two blocks away). The mattress was a bit worn on one side. The pricing (at least in the winter) is a very good value.

Came to Chicago to visit college campuses. First time to Chicago and was relying on public transportation and walking. This was the perfect “home-base” for all of that. While the loop station just outside was closed, the red line entrance was on the next block and seemed to get us everywhere we needed go. The train does run just outside of hotel and walking up, I was nervous about the noise, but had no issues (we were only on the 11th floor) Had to listen for it in a completely silent room in order to hear it. Millennium park (the bean), Riverwalk, magnificent mile, the art museum and a crazy amount of good restaurants are within walking distance. The restaurant downstairs, off the lobby is so good! We ate there for breakfast and dinner during our stay and we were so impressed with the food and service. The only down side I saw was on the weekends, the rooftop restaurant turns into a night club. I’d seen this mentioned in other reviews, but I didn’t see anyone mention how crowded the lobby gets. The lobby isn’t very large and they section off on elevator exclusively for the club (which is great!), but people were sort of loitering in the lobby before going up or leaving the hotel. This was a minor inconvenience when coming or going, but other than that, our stay was fantastic! My daughter and her father are planning another trip next month and I’m insistent they stay here! We will be back.
