Aree Tara Resort

My partner and I booked this hotel as the images provided looked great and it was faiy cheap so we thought it would be a bargain. Check-in was fine no problems but once in our room on closer inspection, we felt it was very run down in comparison to the images on-line. The bathroom particularly did not feel very clean or inviting. I cannot say it's anything to do with the room rate either as we found another hotel for the same price that was modern, clean and luxurious in comparison. Having said all this I canot fault the staff, they were friendly,polite and helpful when required. Definitely in need of some modernisation and the star rating is not an accurate reflection of current facilities provided.

Enjoyed my stay at Aree Tara. Ignore the negative reviews I had no problems with this hotel. Clean, good area, nice breakfast and friendly staff.

It’s a pleasant stay for family or even for couples. Room is in good condition. Keep it up!

Summer 2017 : + : Good hotel in the center, close to the beachs, good reception, swimming pool, transfers… - : Krabi too quiet neighborhood, breakfasts not free, Don't stay too long in this area, quick boring

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is so cosy, private and is located in the quieter side of Ao Nang which I much prefer. Am surprised that it is so conveniently located about 250m from the main pickup/drop off point to Railay Beach, a 2-3 mins walk to Aonang Night Market for some simple food (there's even a 7-11/Family Mart almost next to the hotel). Nice peaceful walk to the Ao Nang and Nonphatarat beach, on the way so many nice street foods! The hotel room is cosy and spacious, exactly what you see in the pictures. The only thing is I didn't get a breakfast package so I could explore, however it was not easy looking for breakfast places before 8am except for one next to the bridge to Nonpharat Beach at 150baht per American breakfast set.

We got reference for staying at this hotel from one of my cousin bro as he and his family used to stay here whenever they used to travel to Krabi, Thailand. Everything at the Hotel was peaceful with superb breakfast. They have a good swimming pool which kept us occupied and Happy during our stay in the afternoon. A great Value for Money for a peaceful stay in Krabi

Nice pool, good location, friendly staff, good AC.

The location of the hotel is perfect with lots of eating shops. My room has been upgraded by the staff at pool view room level 1. The room has cockroach and mosquitoes (due to near the pool). The safe box is spoilt and worst they do not have any iron. So i think for muslim travellers who need to iron their scarf, need to check if hotels have the iron.

This is a decent basic hotel in a fine location. Definitely not fancy or especially memorable. Good location a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and a night market. Good breakfast with lots of Western and Asian choices. The pool was clean and pleasant but quite small and mostly surrounded by private rooms, which made it less than ideal for small children to play freely. The wifi is terrible—it almost never worked. The information states that room service is available until 10:30 pm, but when I tried to order it at 9:00 pm they told me it was already closed. The rooms are clean but basic. The lobby has a constant background smell of sewage.

Room was facing the back of the building and when asked for a change of room, was told that it's fully booked when clearly that there were rooms that's available.... Wifi signals is very very bad throughout the room.
