Holiday Inn Express and Suites Beeville by IHG

Location just on the edge of town was wonderful. No traffic noise. Other than that, typical holiday inn standards with a very good morning breakfast!

The property had a food smell, especially around the reception desk and even in the hallways. Nobody wants to check in and smell garlic and seasoning. Air fresheners are needed, and staff should be counseled not to eat heavily seasoned food when they later will be talking to customers.

It was nice and clean. Clean bedding. Friendly staff. Hot water, which was great. Plenty of parking.

Room needed a bit of remodeling. Seems like they did some work but didn't finish it up. They just need to focus a bit more on attention on the overall appearance of the room and do a little remodeling/painting. Also smell. The room smelled, not bad, but like it needed to be aired out. Once you were in there and turned up the AC you wouldn't notice it as much, but every time you'd first enter the room it was definitely noticeable.

I arrived in my room with rhe room smelling musty and stale. As i walkied in a big roach was walking towards me. I ask the front desk to have the manager come to the room. After a few minutes I went to use the restroom and there were small roaches everywhere. I grabbed my stuff and headed out. The manager funally met me, said she would go check the room lime im lying. Then offered me another room. I explained that roaches don't stay in one place. She advised she would refund my room and help me find another hotel. Once i found another one i asked for a receipt or something to show my refund or cancelation. After arguing for ten minutes they print screened the cancelation. Here it is three days later and the change is still pending. Besides her attitude like it was my fault, no true concern for my dissatisfaction.
