Mentor Home Inn and Suites

Absolutely disgusting and nasty. There was blood on the ceiling and stains and marks throughout the room besides the fact that it had not been cleaned in,,,, maybe ever. So gross. Do not stay here. Crack den. Photo shows blood spatter on the ceiling. They are missing flooring pieces and the baseboards and caked with filth. This place is a health hazard.

Nice place to stay with a McDonalds and 7-11 on the premises. Was fortunate to find this in place, as I was on an eclipse trip. They did not inflate their price for eclipse traffic, and I am very grateful for that.

I booked a reservation a year in advance to stay at the Mentor Home Inn in Mentor, Ohio from April 6-9, 2024 as part of my stay to see the total solar eclipse, and then confirmed the reservation by phone on Saturday, March 30 a week before I planned to start my stay there. But when I arrived at Mentor Home Inn on Saturday, April 6 the woman who was working there could not find my reservation. I told her that I not only made the reservation a year in advance but that I confirmed it with an employee of Mentor Home Inn just a week before. This woman told me she still couldn't fine the reservation but that I could make the reservation on the spot, but that I would have to pay about double what I would have paid had she been able to call up the reservation that I made in advance. I told her I didn't think it was fair that I should have to pay the higher price to stay there since I made the reservation in advance. She went into the back room, made me wait several minutes, and actually called the police on me, who arrived a short time later. Apparently the woman thought I told her I wasn't going to pay the higher price to stay there even though I never told her that. I explained the situation to the police, and after they talked to the woman they all told me I either had to pay the higher price to stay there or I could not stay there. So at that point, not wanting to keep a bad situation going, I agreed to pay the higher price, but I felt totally ripped off and screwed by this, since I know I made the reservation in advance but it was by their mistake losing my reservation that I had to pay the higher price to stay there. But this wasn't the only terrible situation I encountered while I stayed there. When I arrived back at Mentor Home Inn on Monday night, April 8, the last night of my stay there, I could not get back into my room since the badge they gave to me that I used to unlock the door to my room didn't work. I went to the front office, and after several minutes the woman there went to my room but couldn't open the door as well using another badge. After about 15 minutes of waiting another woman employee was finally able to get a badge that opened the door, but it turned out the reason the badges didn't work before was because the batteries in the sensor that was supposed to unlock the door when a badge was tapped to it were dead. I was stunned by this since I felt someone who worked there should have known about this in advance. Only after several more minutes did one of the women come to my room, and eventually put new batteries into the sensor so that the badge would work to open the door, and the entire situation that night took about half an hour. As a result of these two terrible experiences during my stay at the Mentor Home Inn, I would definitely recommend that anyone who plans to stay in the Cleveland area and looks for a place to stay should NOT stay at this place. Anyone who stays at this place is going to encounter extremely poor customer service similar to the extremely poor customer service I encountered during my three-day stay there. The employees there don't know what they are doing, and anyone who stays here is going to get ripped off and pay a much higher price to stay there then they should. I am sorry that I feel this way but these are the situations I encountered at the Mentor Home Inn, and in all honesty I felt the employees there showed me terrible, horrible, and extremely poor customer service with a complete lack of ethics, values, morals, respect, responsibility, professionalism, class, consideration, conscience, integrity, and character towards me during my stay there.

First off the minute, you step into the room. It smells like straight cigarettes and that smell was on every personal item i brought back home. There was dirt all over the floor other people's hair all over the bed, crumbs ask over the sheets. To top it off. I was just trying to walk my dog after a long day. And one of the employees that works there gave me an attitude and was like this place is off limits and I don't need your dog sh**** in my yard which i always pick up after her unlike everyone else that stays there. I just think he could have been a little less rude about it. I will give them a little credit at the front desk for for not being rude and answering all my questions with the exception of that one employee that was on scooter patrol.

It is what it is for the price. Limited outlets, TV goes in and out, and my key kept failing. It wasn't in my wallet next to other cards or anything, but it worked once and then I had to keep going to the office to get it recoded. Weird.

The motel was DIRTY!! Our light fixture had burn marks in it, the bedding hard burn holes in them. Our white socks were not white after walking across the floors. The place was rundown and need of repair. There was also no hot water, that was a nice cold shower. Also, the staff had their friends hanging around which made it very uncomfortable to go into the lobby.

Place in a conveniently located by the highway.

The wifi was fast and everything is convenient in the area for close by shopping .

The cable was out the room was not clean I saw one too many roaches and it turns into a parking lot party at night time keeping my kids awake . Check out is at 11 but someone who don’t understand English shows up to put you out the room at 10:30 am this was a complete waste of my money I didn’t get any sleep I will never stay there again
