La Quinta by Wyndham Houston - Magnolia

Rating: -5 (If possible!) Stay Date: April 2025 Location: La Quinta Inn, Magnolia, TX We are in the hospitality industry ourselves, and this was hands down the worst stay we’ve ever experienced at any La Quinta. The property is in shocking disrepair. The elevators were completely out of service due to ongoing PIP renovations—forcing all guests, including those on the 3rd and 4th floors, to use the stairs. Our room reeked of mold, the carpet was torn and damp near the AC unit, and the bathtub was rusted and filthy. It was beyond unacceptable. When we voiced our concerns, not only was there no sense of urgency or apology, but we were also told no compensation or discount would be offered—because of the Chevron golf tournament in town that weekend. This is a clear case of prioritizing profit over guest experience. Absolutely do not recommend. Until this property undergoes a complete renovation and management overhaul, avoid it at all costs.

My husband and I are handicapped and the elevators were broke. We had to walk up to the third floor with all our luggage. We were not notified till the night before and could not make other arrangements.

We have stayed here several times, and twice the elevator has been out. There were no rooms on the first floor available. We were never offered a discount, just the option to cancel

I have stayed previous trips and the staff is always very helpful and attentive. The location is close to my family I visit

The facility is looking worn in the rooms. The bathtub was in need of refinishing or replacement as there was rust near faucet and good sized worn area in base of tub. The elevator broke down twice and o had to carry heavy luggage down 3 flights of stairs. The breakfast selection was not up to what it has been previously. The bed was borderline comfortable.

The worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life. Bad smell, broken elevator—I had to carry my luggage up three floors. They kick you out at 11:00 a.m. The worst place in the United States. Absolutely terrible.

This property was very clean and well maintained. My only complaint would be the slamming of doors nonstop from 7am on.
