Location and cleanliness

I loved the location so close to the train station, it made for a very easy departure. The breakfast was exceptional as well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Outrageously expensive for what turned out to be a cramped dark room in an attic which was supposed to be for 4 people. The spec for the room said we would be on the ground floor. The window was a very bizarre dormer which when opened to max didn't cool down the room, no-one slept because of the heat, no A/C. When it rained during the night, clothes and bag got wet, little space to put anything. Very misleading pictures for what we booked, no resemblance to what we stayed in. One lamp! Felt dingy, old and in major need of refurbishment, bad smell of air fresheners in certain areas - definitely not 'luxury'. Building and carpark not suitable for anyone with health issues due to number of stairs and gradient of exterior. Could go on but have wasted enough time on this experience. Will think twice about going back to Cork

The breakfast was absolutely brilliant, great selection of homemade food and the hot meal I ordered (poached eggs with spinach on sourdough) was delicious The beds were very comfy

The bathroom was a tight squeeze, and there wasn't anywhere to hang clothes

Absolutely loved Gabriel house. Location excellent to train station and city. Stunning views from garden which we spent for a few hours basking in the sunshine 🌞. Breakfast was top class. Every staff member were so polite and friendly. Would recommend this guesthouse to everyone

Wonderfully functional for such a beautiful old building. Wonderful staff and excellent breakfast.
