The Samaya Seminyak Bali

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was our first booking through Luxury Escapes and OMG — what an incredible experience! We were met at the airport by The Samaya van and warmly welcomed by the beautiful staff. Our pool villa was spacious, private, and absolutely stunning. The resort itself is outstanding — every staff member was kind, caring, and so polite, and they all remembered our names, which made it feel extra special. We genuinely loved every one of them. The food was divine, and on our final night our amazing butler, Kris, arranged a romantic table overlooking the sunset — just beautiful. 🌅 A huge bonus is the complimentary transport anywhere in Seminyak, which made getting around so easy. We highly, highly recommend staying here — and we’ll definitely be back! 🌺

The room (villa) was very spacious. The private pool was nice but the water a little to warm for a real refreshment. The hotel is situated on the beach - nice for walks along the ocean. The room was very quiet after 10pm and in the morning. The food in the restaurant was very good, service at times a bit slow (see below). The service (room, laundry etc) was very prompt and friendly. All in all, a wonderful stay before the long trip home.

The service in the restaurant was at times a bit slow. Although, in fairness, there were a lot of guests sometimes, I think that by assigning a waiter/waitress to a particular number of tables instead of everyone running around to all the tables, the service could be easily improved. As an example, on a given evening, we had upto 5 or 6 different waiters/waitresses at our table... On two of three days, there was loud music in the garden - once it was a company event and once it was an anniversary event of the local staff. Not really bothering too much, but still no quiet afternoons...

Staff were amazing

We had a villa with private pool. The rooms are very spacious and you have direct access to the resort facilities when booking in the main area. Staff is very friendly and helpful and you get immediate support if you need anything. Also the breakfast and food was great and delicious.

The service in the restaurant is generally slow even though there is plenty of staff deployed. Usually it takes a while to get served in the evening but also in the morning. We had been there 4 nights and 2 out of 4 nights they had "events" which were not specifically meant for the hotel guests (e.g. internal team event which was quite loud). We had been traveling in Bali a number of weeks, staying in luxury hotels but this one has been the most expensive. We would have expected a much higher and faster service level for this price but it was the slowest and paired with the external events in the hotel facilities we have been actually a bit disappointed from a price/value perspective. Also facilities are a bit outdated compared to the pictures. There have been newer and better maintained hotels in our journey.

Excellent a la carte breakfast. Great location right on the beach. Big pool with plenty of sun loungers. Great staff. Huge villas with private pool. Wonderful gardens.

The site and villas are beautiful; however, the spa decor and quality of finishes are dated and not aligned with the rest of the hotel - I believe they should put some investments in that area

Our stay at The Samaya Seminyak had its highs and lows. The beach and pool areas were absolutely amazing — the perfect spots to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. However, we found the service to be delayed at times, and the food was just average, which was a bit disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. While the setting and amenities were fantastic, the inconsistent service kept our stay from being truly exceptional. It’s a beautiful resort with great potential, but there’s room for improvement in service and dining.
