"Tribulations of Leda Beach Hotel"

6.0

Everything was good except the man who ran the restaurant near to the beach. He offered us a free drink when we arrived but when I asked for a large beer he said I would have to pay for it as he only offered a small one when there was hardly any difference in price. He then hassled us every day to eat in his restaurant and got very angry when we told him we would consider it but at the end of the day we preferred to decide ourselves where we ate. Also the man whotook our cases to our room was rude in respect of when he put the cases in our room he stood there waiting for a tip.Unfortunately we had no Turkish Lira as we had just arrived and we tried to explain this to him but apparently he didn't understand us and stood there and wouldn't move. It was most embarrasing as he stood there for 10 minutes before angrily leaving.

"Leda Beach - Side, Turkey"

8.0

For those wanting a truly relaxing break from the hussle and bustle of city life, Leda Beach Hotel is a great destination. It's located in the heart of old Side, facing the historical theatre on one side, and stunning views of the sea on the other. We opted for a Bed and Breakfast rate so we could sample other restaurants during our stay and were happy with the open buffet on offer. The only suggestion I would make for the hotel, is to reconsider the breakfast times as 8am till 10am is a little optimistic for those wanting to relax. The staff are friendly, though there is a distinct lack of female staff on site (except for the housekeepers) and they help with options for things to do during our time here. Watch out for the pool, it can be a little murky after noon, but would highly recommend the beach front for swimming and sipping cocktails!

"Standard touristic place to stay in"

6.0

The hotel is German oriented. Nice and helpful staff. However, we stayed 2 days and only once my boyfriend "caught" hot water. I was not successful. All the rest was fine - especially breakfasts.

"Such a great place"

8.0

Had some good days (and nights) in this hotel. The surroundings are magnificent, with wonderfull old ruins on one side, and the a super nice sand beach on the other side of the hotel. Staff is helpfull and with a smile on their faces and makes you feel welcome. Food is ok, with a good restaurant view at the table. We were very happy with our stay at Leda. Thanks and see you again.

"Not impressed"

8.0

The Hotel is nice, there are to many steps, so wouldn't recommend to someone with dificulties to move. Staffs are friendly, breakfast is ok but not much variety, most everyday the same food.

"Would definitely go back."

8.0

The hotel is lovely. Very friendly, quiet and characterful. The grounds are delightful but there are lots of steps so would not recommend if you are not mobile. The rooms were fine, not luxurious but perfectly adequate and the air conditioning was much appreciated. The two restaurants complimented each other and both served very good food. The situation is perfect, so close to old (antique) Side and yet quiet with it's own small beach and very good service with the beds. The reception staff were wonderfully helpful. We really enjoyed our holiday.

"Basic Rooms in a Great Location"

6.0

The best thing about the Leda Beach Hotel is its location: the restaurant is literally built into the ruins of an ancient Roman street, and you can eat breakfast while viewing the ancient theater from the deck. It's also only a few blocks from a very busy tourist shopping area and nice sandy beaches. The hotel itself is quite basic--small, budget-type rooms opening onto a narrow courtyard between the main road and a rocky beach. The "beach" behind the hotel is rocky and backs up onto a sidewalk, making it virtually unusable. There were some cottages near the pool that might have been a bit nicer, but I never saw the inside of them. Breakfast was adequate, but the dinner buffet looked rather stale, so I ate elswehere. The hotel seemed to attract a lot of British people. For a short stay, the Leda Beach Hotel was fine, but it's definitely a budget property. For anyone interested in the ruins of ancient Side, it can't be beat!
