Amazing location...Cleanliness un the room needs improvements.

Right in the middle of the shopping district, but hidden and private, beautiful outside eating area, staff were very friendly and helpful

No hot water at all . Came to fix it but then we had hot and cold but they did not mix . Front desk seems to think we didn’t know how to use a shower valve . Finally agreed to move us to another room . This room was much nicer and larger . Now we had hot water that could be mixed but needed to use the hand wand since the rain shower head did not work . Room was clean and breakfast was very nice . The front desk staff don’t seem to want to be helpful for some reason . The rest of the staff such as the man who tried to fix the shower were very nice and the breakfast staff . It was just the front desk that was difficult. Location is excellent . Definitely would not return there are better option nearby

Good location and helpful staff.

What a gem! We were not expecting the wonderful, charming, and thoroughly enjoyable stay. This is the place to stay for a weekend or week on Capri. Centrally located, spotlessly clean, with large, quiet and charming rooms you will not be disappointed. The staff is absolutely wonderful, and was always available for assistance or advice. It is the oldest running hotel in Capri and when you stay there you understand why. It has that old Europe charm and decor, but is immaculately maintained. The pictures I viewed on Expedia and other sites made it look tacky, dated, and I feared our room and bathroom would be tiny. I was totally wrong. The decor works and our room was about 3 times the size I expected. The bed was perfect, and we not only had a patio, we also had a sitting room and refrigerator. We also took advantage of a small discount given to guests who use the spa on the ground level and can highly recommend it. We will be sure to return to Capri, and will definitely return to the Gatto Bianco!

Love everything about the hotel

Location couldn’t be better and the staff was really helpful, I’m definitely coming back.

After having amazing hotel experiences in Rome and Praiano, I was really looking forward to my stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great location and it is a beautiful property; however, I didn’t feel the service was at the level that some of the other reviews mention. Upon arrival, we approached the front desk for check-in. There was a young man that called someone else to check us in. As soon as the other man came out to check us in, he looked at us like we had 3 heads, as if we weren’t what he was expecting, (I mean, my name is French, so maybe he was expecting a member of a royal family). There was no “welcome”, no conversation, I was just asked for my cc and it was all very transactional. We spent about five minutes and the entire time, I noticed the man looking at my husband up and down as if he was confused with the fact that we were staying there. I’d hate to think the obvious, but based on his demeanor I think it was pretty clear. At the breakfast area we did come across a really nice lady that was very friendly and helpful, but again, she was one of three breakfast attendants that acknowledged us. All other other hotels we stayed at treated us with respect and so much friendliness, so to say this was disappointing it’s an understatement.

We have stayed here 4 times. This was the first time we were disappointed with our room which was quite small, no balcony/outside sitting area. The breakfast is quite good. The hotel is clean. Staff are efficient. I enjoyed playing with Miro.
